Howrah Nursery

I would give less than one star if possible. The manager is extremely rude and offensive. She was very unreasonable and extremely unprofessional.The other staff were very friendly, but the manager is the complete opposite. I'd rather drive to Launceston to pick up some plants than go to this bloody place.

Beautiful little nursery. Amazing staff with super friendly and knowledgeable assistance. Would highly recommend the travel to visit this nursery.Thanks very much for all the help.

Great nursery! Loads of variety of plants and accessories, but more importantly, on each visit I've always found the staff to be very friendly, informative and helpful

Horrible owner. It is a scam place. Warn everyone not to go unless you want to be scammed. Lying to our face and forcing employees to lie too just for take advantage of clients. Refuse to show footage to prove themselves. Refuse to return money after over charge us. What a money grabber!

What a fantastic nursery! Why would you go to Bunnings when you have Howrah Nursery just around the corner? Beautiful plants, indoor and outdoor. Wide range. Perfect service. The full package - a 10/10 from me.

Great service, many plants to choose from......ranging from small shrubs to trees. Access is flat, except for the front of the shop, but you can go to the back of the shop and go down a ramp.

Warning - Please be aware the owners are dishonest and plain and simple, crooks.The owners of Howrah Nursery are not to be trusted. We went there a few times and were quite happy with the staff and the plants on offer. However our last visit on the 31st October we spent over $500 with them and found out we have been overcharged one extra bag of compost and 2 plants. This wasn't the staff's fault, that day was really windy and plants were getting knocked over all over the place so a mistake was made, no big deal, it happens.However we went back to rectify this mistake and we're told that it is only the owner who could sort this out but they weren't there at present. We gave our number and waited for a reply. We went on a trip to the mainland when the owner called stating we were not overcharged at all but there was a Hydrangea that we didn't want to collect that day (?) Not sure why we wouldn't want to collect it... But no mention of anything else. As we were on a roadtrip on the mainland we didn't get back in touch until we came back.I have now been in contact with the owner and she told me we picked up that hydrangea (which obviously we didn't being in the mainland) and that she 'doesn't give a stuff about me' and told me we are trying to trick her and lying to her. After spending over $500 I would have thought a bit of customer care would have been applied and to be told we were trying to trick her is deeply insulting (and also makes no sense, why try and trick 2 extra plants and a bag of dirt?), We just wanted what we were owed.Anyway please be cautious when buying from them as if you've been overcharged the owner 'doesn't give a stuff'. I would suggest another nursery or even Bunnings before going to these guys.EDIT:SERIOUSLY AVOID. Their reply is so incredibly wrong. We have been away, we know they messaged us but we were in the outback so we couldn't reply. We have been at work today and neither of us stepped foot in their store, so to say we have is baffling. They are crooks plain and simple making up lies. Very dishonest people. For your own sake avoid. We tried being reasonable but the owner was so incredibly aggressive and racially insensitive to my partner thinking she's trying to steal their money because she is Chinese.

Worst garden shop ive been to. Plants in bad health and indoor plants are all dead or slowly dieing. They dont know how to care for there own stock of plants. All the aloevera they have is sunburnt and in there cactus and succlent house, most plants are in terrible health. If you want healthy plants head down to harmony gardens at laurdale

Waited 12 months for speciality plant, didn't receive a call and was informed when I rang that they had sold it. I don't think it's a good way to do business especially to someone who's in the Landscape/ gardening business themselves. I'm sure if I did that to my clients I wouldn't have any.

The women that served me was so so rude, we did not order the plant, the gentleman I spoke to was very polite and helpful and said he would try to get a plant for us if it was available, 2 weeks later I received a phone call saying he had one coming, No price or size, when I was told it was here I asked the price and was told it was $99 and 1-5 MTR tall and very stragley, I refused to pay that amount for the plant and was told not to wast her time in future in ordering plants through them, l did tell the rude women l did not order the plant, but she was still mumbling something as she was walking away. SHE was very very rude.
