The Healing Stone, Emporium Hotel
My boyfriend and I booked Ganbanyoku plus a 45min message package last Friday. I was very disappointed and sadly the money was wasted. In the middle of the session, a staff member came in without saying anything to lay towels for the next customer. The noise caused by rearranging the stones disrupts me and leaves me with no sense of privacy. Even before lying down on the message bed, i noticed two long hair. The message room was also very cold. Later in the evening, after returning home, my back and buttocks started feeling itchy and turned red, which made me doubt the hygiene conditions.Never again!

As a resident of the Emporium Hotel South Brisbane, I was absolutely appalled by the disgustingly subpar service I received when purchasing a voucher for my colleague to receive a massage at the hotel's rooftop health spa. Even more egregious was the dismissive and disrespectful response I received from management (Stewart) when I brought the issue to their attention. Clearly, my concerns and business mean nothing to this establishment. The experience my colleague had at the spa was nothing short of a complete and utter disaster. Upon arrival, they were told that the voucher was not redeemable for both an infrared bath and a one-hour massage, despite the coupon clearly stating otherwise. And instead of making things right, the spa staff couldn't even offer a basic resolution like a refund or future service. Instead, they thought it appropriate to offer them alcoholic beverages, despite my colleague not being able to consume alcohol. What an absolute joke. While the massage itself was decent, the customer service at this spa was so atrocious that it ruined the entire experience. As a long-time resident and frequent patron of the Emporium Hotel, I expected much more from this establishment. But clearly, they do not value their customers or their business. It is unacceptable that this mishap has happened before, and I would strongly advise anyone considering booking a service at this spa to think twice before wasting their time and money. The Emporium Hotel rooftop health spa is a complete joke, and they don't deserve anyone's business.

Good massage in a 5 stars hotel. The place is clean, quite and relaxing at 21st floor of Emporium hotel just next to train station South Bank- touristic area. The massage itself was good but not exceptional. The place is small and the price is more expensive than normal massage shops for similar quality. I would say you go there for the ambiance, you have your own room, even though it's small but without street noise or other customers. The music was relaxing, however, there was a fan or type or machine just next to massage bed which is a bit noisy for me.The Ganbanyoku is a dry Japaneae sauna, hot room to relax, i felt asleep inside, a new experience. Interesting. However, if you just want to try it, they have other shop in Paddington with similar services but much cheaper due to location probably. It's nice to enjoy the complementary soft drink or a bit extra for alcolho drink in the rooftop terrace bar in front of the spa, part of Emporium hotel.

I had the most amazing facial and massage, with life moving so fast it’s hard to take time off to look after yourself. This little slice of heaven, the kind and welcoming staff provided me with 90 minutes of much need relaxation. At times during the massage I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep. The facial was both calming and rejuvenating and my skin feels amazing. Truly worth the visit.

I recently visited this massage parlour with a voucher for an infrared bath and one-hour massage.Upon arrival, I was informed that they didn't have enough time to fit me in for both and that I could only choose one. After my massage, they told me that the voucher could only be redeemed once, despite what was stated on the coupon. Instead of offering me a refund or allowing me to use the other half of the voucher at a later date, they offered me a couple of alcoholic beverages. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol, this was an unsatisfactory resolution to the issue. Overall, while the massage itself was excellent, the customer service was subpar and I was left feeling dissatisfied with my experience.

Well below average.Had a massage there with my wife today as we are staying in the hotel. My wife said her massage was one of the best she's had. Unfortunately mine was one of the worst, so I suppose it depends who you get.My relaxation" massage was nothing of the sort - some of the work done on muscle tightness had me jumping off the bed more than the remedial massages I get at home. Also a lot of time spent massaging my dry head through a dry towel

I had a facial and massage package here, and whilst the massage was good, the facial was excellent! They use Tatcha products which are heavenly and high quality. Therapist definitely had proper lymphatic massage training.Massage table was good too, firm but giving and the room temperature was also good.Negatives were noisy room fan, pokey small treatment rooms, and small pokey spa overall. I was surprised by that since it's in a very renowned hotel.

No a bad choice!they provide a comfortable healing stone!Due to the narrow space, the locker room is relatively small, and the locker is relatively small. If you carry a large bag, it will take you some time to arrange the space in the locker, and bathroom is outside of shop.

My adult daughter and I both booked a 90 min massage & facial last week at a cost of $400.00 and sadly it was not money well spent. :(For a 5 Star Hotel this Day Spa was VERY disappointing. The massage beds were uncomfortable, there were no finishing touches and I was cold to the bone the entire time. It's the first Day Spa I have ever been to where I couldn't wait to leave! Never again.I can only assume the Day Spa is contracted out by the Emporium because our Hotel stay was fabulous.
