Windmill Motel and Events Centre
The room was clean and tidy, nice furniture and very comfy bed. On another positive note, it is the first hotel in a long time where we didn’t need to go into panic ‘toddler proofing’ mode as the room was put together very well (thank you!), plus no outright hazards were hanging off tables etc. there is a giant, well maintained lawn that guests can hang out on and even a pool. Very much recommend!

Loved the vibe in the bar/restaurant area. Rooms were a really good size. The meals are Humugous !! Staff really friendly.. will definitely make it our sleepover " when in Mackay !!!"

Spoon stuck in the toilet S-Bend, bathroom was not clean, table had not been cleaned down, and something was splashed down the wall near kitchenette. GIANT huntsman spider in the bathroom... Beds were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly during our Overnight stay.

Booked directly via phone for Valentines weekend. Requested and confirmed for a ground floor, king size bed with spa. Got first floor without a spa. No apology just blamed other staff with a ‘don’t care’ attitude. Room was clean and bed was nice. There are better options in Mackay.

The service was exceptional, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bar and restaurant on site was lovely, we didn't eat there but had a few drinks at the bar. The location was great, very close to everything. The room was nice, a little dated but still very nice. Highly recommended and I will definitely be booking again when I go up next trip

Went for dinner with my son. We are local so just went to the restaurant for dinner. Monday night, quiet. Nice surrounds outside on the verandah but hardly any service. Dinner was fish (huge) but very poorly done. When we ordered the chef didn’t even know what kind of fish it was let alone its origin. Very sad as it used to be a winner. Hell, i got married there!

Had an issue with our original room, was handled professionally, and put into an upgraded room. Both rooms were clean and tidy, all staff very friendly. Will stay again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Service from front desk to restaurant was brilliant. Great position close to everything. Can't wait to come back and see the refurbishment.
