Tamar River Cruises

The captain of the Lady Launceston was very knowledgeable of the history that had happened and the river cruise was enjoyable and informative. Overall a pleasant experience.

We felt very welcomed on the Cataract Gorge cruise with our pup. Very relaxed time listening to and chatting with Brad learning about the history of the area, loved getting up close to the Gorge.

We enjoyed a 1 hour cruise up and down the river with the captain identifying the sites along the river and the history of the valley. Great ride!

We enjoyed a great 2.5 hour afternoon cruise with included afternoon tea, and wine and beer tasting.The staff were all fantastic, friendly and helpful. The information about the area was really interesting, and we were pleased that they reminded everyone before we headed off to be respectful and not talk over the guide. They also provided hand sanitiser and sunscreen.The food provided was very nice, including delicious gluten free chocolate biscuits! There was a selection of sweet snacks and fruit, with free tea and coffee. You could also buy other drinks if you wanted. They had a selection of wines for the tasting session, and provided a free fruit juice for those of us who weren't drinking alcohol, which was very nice of them.The boat itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff were wiping down surfaces frequently.

Really enjoyable river cruise. Probably the best way to see the Gorge. Small craft so everyone gets a seat with a view. Knowledgeable and pleasant skipper on the boat. Worth a go if you're in the area.

Gorgeous river cruise! 4 hours of superb cometary beautiful views! Food was awesome the tasting of wine and beer was good to taste locally made beverages and food! Worth every penny! Recommend everyone do this!

The Tamar river cruise was fantastic. There was audio introduction throughout to the places we were seeing. Even had wine tasting in the process. View was of course good. Very smooth, didn’t get sea sick. Crew was welcoming and helpful.

Great 4 hours on the Lunch Cruise , Staff are friendly and Captain Lynn’s comments all add to great day
