I have been at this tutoring for a very long time and it has made my perspective towards learning change. I have met lots of friends from all over Sydney in my recent years here. It wasn't as fun at first but as soon as you make more friends and allow the teachers to bond with you, you will love this place. I will like to shoutout to all the amazing teachers.

I’ve been going there since year 3, I’m currently in Year 7, although it helped me get into a selective school it wasn’t the best. Holiday class had 3 booklets and trial tests were hell, 3 hours stuck in a stuffy room doing tests in silence. The rooms were graffitied and the desks had gum under them all the time. Most teachers are decent except for the few who have no care whatsoever or the wellbeing of the children and continuously shout and scold children. I also had this one teacher who told us the wrong answer and we kept trying to tell them it was right but the teacher didn’t listen and sent a few of us outside for the rest of the lesson which really is unfair and a waste of our parents money.

too much hw. most teachers are rude and staff is very unprofessional. its all study, no play, and the place is filthy. theres gum underneath the desks and they don't even seem to clean the place. the canteen is a ripoff and the books are too overpriced. and also the center smells like bleach all the time even though its not clean

Way too much homework, some teachers are mean, the walls are filled with graffiti and there is a teacher which 'fought' with a class about if it was lovely or main(the teacher was wrong) and she blamed the class. The same teacher blames everything on the class. In holiday class you have homework every weekday you are there! Anyways, some teachers are sooooo strict that you can't even have fun. The canteen is also a ripoff and don't forget the graffiti on the walls. At least some teachers are nice.

The staffs are very rude and unprofessional. They took my son's assignment test. They lied to me by saying result will be sent in 24hrs. It never happened and when I pushed them to provide the result as per the verbal agreement, the teacher named Lilly just came up with a B. S. that they don't have any spot. Bottom line, don't even think about sending ur children to a place where there's no real teachers. STC uses students to teach the students.

this place is quite biased towards children who attend hurstville public oc and as someone who attends another oc class, i feel as if my achievements are not valued. i am not impressed by the over-competitiveness of their teaching and how they often rank children through exam scores. there is too much homework because in holiday class, they expect you to compete 3 full booklets of work a day, and they don't even care if you have other things at home.

Over crowded class so the teacher won’t pay attention to every student. The teacher have no idea whether student have following or not.

Ok, I went here a few years ago and honestly it really didn't help much. It just felt like school - doing work but not learning anything new, they never went through the methods thoroughly. Especially the dogs they had which were disruptive. Some teachers were kind, but not efficient in teaching. I only came across one that actually told you how you could improve your study habits, while other teachers were just whatever. It's an OK coaching but could be better.Another thing I realised was that they needed to lessen the amount of homework as well. Putting out more work does not necessarily mean the child is learning.

I had an amazing time here. I have been doing it from year 3 to year 6 and I enjoyed my time there. I made a ton of friends and I genuinely think I would not have made it this far without STC. I see a lot of people complaining about things about it when those things are actually the parent's fault, not the tutoring centre's.I've seen a lot of people say that they give a lot of homework but most of the main class homework is done in class, trial test, revision and lovely class don't have homework and the holiday class homework is now minimal. There used to be 3 booklets but not only were they non-mandatory (unless your parents were strict) but they have also not shortened it to only 1 short booklet. The learning was helpful and they taught some complicated things that school wouldn't teach. In fact, I found myself learning some formulas at STC before I learnt them at school. The teachers aren't as bad as people say they are. Sure, there are a few ones that are intimidating or strict, but the majority are nice. Most of them are quality teachers who are good at explaining things and are fun. I feel like a lot of people complaining about mean teachers are generalizing based on one or two bad teachers they may have had.STC is not all work no play because you get breaks in between every session which allow you to talk to friends or have a snack. Furthermore, if your parents don't overwork you, you won't have to do any work when you get home. Some people are saying that the schedule is school
