We had an average meal. The pork was way over cooked and was like leather. Then we we bought a beer and had to put down a $12 deposit for the glass. We have not yet recived our refund for the glass and it was well over a week ago. Wouldn't go here again.

Just bought a cup of takeaway coffee there. Unfortunately, my experience of buying and drinking the coffee was terrible. The price was 5 dollars for a small takeaway, for long black. The service person's attitude was cold, not welcoming. They didn't put the lid on properly, so when I drank it, the coffee just spilled out and ruined my clothes! And for the taste ..... over rosted! The fragrance smelled OK but was too bitter on my tongue. Won't come back again.

Used to be extremely good food and service, now prices have been hiked ridiculously and terribly understaffed. Payed $32.90 for a schnitzel and gravy that came out undercooked after much waiting.

We ordered the steak sandwich had to wait 40 minutes while other people got their meals. Couple beside us waited 50 minutes for her meal one came out at the 30 minute mark the other came out after another 20 minutes. Our steak sandwich was actually a foot long roll the steak wasn’t cooked to the point it was cold inside the mustard was so thick it had to be scraped off. So disappointed with the meal after such a long wait

Wish we had never walked through the door.Coffee is extremely average/ bitter.Service - for the young lad behind the counter today. FIND SOME MANNERS!!or just stick to doing the fire.You have no personal skills!Wouldn't go again.Cakes look boring.Coffee 1/10Service 0!!!!German music is awful.Don't waste your time

Wow. As regulars we used to pay $45. 8mth later it’s $62. Ok with prices increasing 6mths ago but this is a massive price hike. Last meal today sadly.

Two coffees for the drive and had to throw them away they were that bad. So bitter in taste and tasted like percolated coffee.Waste of $16

We frequently dined at Cafe Assiette (including last Sunday) given their delicious gourmet German hotdogs with german style potato salad and a dress bowel of salad however upon our last visit the hotdog roll had to be cut with a sharp knife. Upon obtaining the attention of the waitress and waiter then tested the roll and advised they were firm to cut, but they were only yesterday's bake so should be fine. I repeated the demonstration that the had to be cut, hence to hard to bite, then asked the waiter to report to the Manager. After several minutes without no Manager, I attend the service counter and requested a refund, to which the Manager declined.Hence no more dining at Cafe Assiette

Nice little place, cute atmosphere.The wood-oven pizza definitely didn't seem genuine, or it was old, as it wasn't hot.The serving size of the chips for $7.90 was tiny.Lastly, staff were yelling and swearing at fellow staff which ruined the experience.
