Huntsman Dam is gorgeous. Water a bit low at the moment. Great amenities, bbq facilities and great outlook.

It can be lovely, but as with many parts of the world, it's largely blocked off, by farmers, little of it is available to the public. Particularly if you don't have a car, there is a nice town park, in Deloraine, for tourists and locals.

Great place to put the kayaks in, have a swim on hot days, or just sit and have a picnic. Also a well maintained footpath up both sides with foot bridges to cross.
