Really clean accommodation in convenient location. Literally right in the centre of town. Fuss free booking and check in. Don't let the drab exterior put you off. The rooms are nice inside.

Lovely little place that has cabins with off street parking. Various sized cabins, each with a car space adjacent. Walking distance to just about everything. Doesn't look like much from the street, but don't under rate it because of that. Owners are very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Overall, this place was worth the price we paid for the night. Unfortunately, as a cleaner myself, I found the property wasn't all up to standards, there was webs in one of the windows, so we couldn't open it for in case spiders were there. The shower could have some exit mould as its in the grout, there was a smell like a cat had been in the cabin, bugs were in there as well, we also didn't have a screen that could be locked so my 11 M/O was able to open it and tried getting out. Mattresses may need an upgrade as I felt the slats underneath me the whole night. But other than that, it was an alright stay, close to all amenities.

A great find in a small town- very well kept rooms, clean and included everything you need. Modern and updated, air conditioner worked wonderfully and BBQ and laundry facilities were a great plus. Couldn't really ask for more!

Nice and quiet.Will be returning to stay again!We were lucky enough to get a cabin as it was tourist season and 1 was available! We stayed for 3 nights.Thank you Allan for your hospitality when we stayed with you.

On arrival the onsite manager was not there and we did not have any phone service in Lightning Ridge, so I had to bother another guest to phone the manager. I think in hind sight that we should have been told if the managers were not there, our unit number. We did arrive within a suitable time for them to be there. Just a minor issue, but a huge one for me. The room was larger in comparison to other cabins that we had experienced in the past week. When we were about to turn down the bedding, the cushion was covered in dust and so was the pillow that it sat on. :(We did eat out and we found that the Bowling Club had a courtesy bus which was an added benefit.

A reasonable motel with unfortunately lacklustre and average facilities. The owner was helpful enough to come around regarding our calls and concerns, but was not able to fully meet our needs and support us. We initially booked for room medium sized room but after finding that the aircon does not function, we contacted the owner and he let us stay in an upgraded room for a slightly cheaper price, which has a functional aircon but positioned terribly as the air does not flow well into the living area nor does it go to the bedrooms. The kitchen area was fine and supplied us with cutlery and some kitchenware. The living area was okay, it had a working fan that does not cycle any air towards us at all, and seems to be more of a waste of electricity. The bedrooms were nice, with built in wardrobes in each one, and the bathroom was also decent. They also had a shared laundry and dryer area, and a barbecue space to hang around in, though both areas did not seem very tidy. However, despite everything, the internet did not seem to work, and it did not work for the 2 days we spent here. The owner did not manage to fix it as well and nothing was done to compensate it. I was plenty sure that there was another internet service we could have connected to but we were not given a password. The little patio we had was nice but was never used because it was extremely hot outdoors. It was overall a very average experience, having come from several other motels before this one, it was a bit lacking for the price we had paid.

Clean, comfortable, quiet - our $115 cabin with full sized fridge and mini stove oven (need to turn all 3 knobs to get top elements to work?) enabled us to cook our own meals with food from the IGA supermarket around the corner - undisturbed sleep a pleasure after other noisy motels on our trip.
