Somehow our order went missing. When we asked what happened, they first said our food was coming, waiter ended up apologizing and asking us if we wanted to wait for another 30mins or get a refund.Terrible management. Manager clearly doesn't know how to compensate customers when their employees make a mistake. Almost begging for a refund and ended up paying for drinks that were supposed to be coming with the food. WOULDN'T recommend this places unless NEW MANAGEMENT.

At lunch I ordered the market fish today (barramundi) with a side of broccolini. Both plates were drowned in oil.. I assume to make up for the lack of flavour. I wanted baked fish with amazing vegetables. This is so not it. Gross.

The place have a relaxed vibe to it with plenty of seats inside and outside. The pizza is great and their famous lasagna is also good but not mind blowing kind of good. The pizza is thin whilst the lasagna is moist and light. The restaurant's menu is different to the bar menu.Food - 7Service - 10Vibe - 8Price - $$$

January 2023 review. Fantastic experience! With a recently refreshed menu and interior, The Grand Hotel Richmond should definitely be on your list of must visit venues in Richmond. We dined in the outdoor beer garden area, but the casual dining area also looks great.We had The Grand Chicken Parmigiana, the Market Fish (which was barramundi today), and one of the specials which was the Crispy Pork Belly with Orange and Fennel Salad with home-made jus. Special looked great (see photo).All meals were of an excellent quality and we look forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu. Great ambience and service as well.Have been back since and food is still great quality.

Food is tasty but service wasn't as good. Really enjoyed the food but the service wasn't on par and it wasn't a busy night. Food highlight was the well cooked swordfish and the potatoes.

Nice welcoming space mainly pizza and some other tasty dishes. The antipasto and bread is worth the trip alone. The lasagne was excellent. Good wine list and Italian digestive selection. Great service, Kirsty was outstanding. Definitely will be back.

We had a fabulous time at the Grand. Mel, the waitress and Liam, the manager were very attentive with all our requests. Mel and the other waitress were very prompt in attending to us, and helped us ensure we were on track with our schedule. The tables were set up nicely, and we managed to take many nice pictures. Our guests were all blown away with the quality and taste of the dishes, we were so pleased with that. Safe to say that our guests had a food coma, and everyone had a really good time. When we left, we realised that we left our wedding favor at the restaurant. Mel went that extra mile to help us search for it, only to have found it in the rubbish bin.All in all, this is an underrated local gem in our neighbourhood. So glad that our guests are now wanting to try your other dishes like pizzas.This is definitely a place I would recommend for events, and you will be in safe hands, with Kirsty the events manager helping you. Thank you again Kirsty for helping us, planning a wedding dinner through the uncertain times, and making it an enjoyable and memorable occasion for us :)

The Grand Hotel Richmond
I went for dinner at The Grand Hotel last night with my family and we had a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly and inviting and the food was decently priced. After ordering drinks and dinner we were informed they couldn’t fill some of our drink orders but offered good alternatives. We waited a little bit too long for dinner but it was completely worth the wait and at the end of the night they only charged us for some of the drinks and none of the food. I will definitely be returning to our local pub again especially after they personally called today to apologise.
