Point Sinclair Campground
Clean tidy campground with a long history - basic facilities but no water. It's sparse and open so not much privacy - Conservation is big on the agenda here, but again a little contradicted by overcrowding the campsite with some areas campers literally in each other's pockets.I was told there was buckets load of space - I found two vacant camp sites by the main road. Pick your time of year carefully to visit, at the right time it would be stunning.

If you surf then this is one of Australia's meccas of surfing. It has been basically unchanged for 40 years. The big news now is it has flush toilets. It is rough camping but everyone who surfs will love it.

Tonnes of space, even if there’s lots of people you can find somewhere with a bit of privacy and distance from others. Flushing toilets and water for hand washing. Beautiful beach, dunes keep the wind at bay. More expensive than comparable sites, but I’d like to think that money is going into conservation and dune rehabilitation.

This is undoubtedly a beautiful campsite situated on the peninsula. The toilets were stone constructions and almost art in themselves. I ended up not staying because of the rain churning up the road (I was worried I wouldn't get out in the morning) and the flies.

Beautiful area! Highly worth a nights stay or visit.Point Sinclair Campsite is the only camp site in the area. Other websites were a bit confusing. We were originally looking for a free one. There is no free campsite. It all seems to be Point Sinclair Campsite. There were lots of little nooks and areas for setting up camp. Plenty of room for caravans or camper cans.Recommend stopping at general store before hand for groceries.Easy sign postage to area. Drive through Lake Macdonnell to get there (light pink lake beside blue lake). Best to arrive in daylight. Good road - compact sand, minimal pot holes.Simple facilities. Nice, neat clean flush toilets with soap and toilet paper. Water is not drinkable.$15 per adult. $5 per child. A grounds keeper will come round to say g’day, collect payment and give you info.Lovely scenic and peaceful area. Plenty of other campers in area. Few regulars. Everyone very friendly. As two females travelling we felt very safe.
