Zara Tower Hotel

The Zara Tower Hotel was fantastic! It is probably one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. We arrived at 7 am, and they stored our bags and my refrigerated medication until our room was ready. When we arrived to check in, they delivered our bags and put my medication in the fridge. The room was amazing and HUGE. It was well thought out and had everything you needed. Everything was well thought out, and they offer T2 tea (local to Australia) and Nespresso. They provided many services and even offered a reasonably priced next-day laundry service. It is centrally located to get to the central train station, touristy attractions, and all the Surry Hills restaurants and shops. I can't wait to stay here again!

Stayed here with three generations of my family in two apartments. Really friendly and helpful service from reception staff before and throughout our stay.Location is walking distance from beautiful Surrey Hills area one way and the CBD area the other. Our two bed apartments had plenty space with two balconies and super lounge/kitchen area.

The GoodSpace brilliant, cleanliness spotless, amenities brilliant, Staff always friendly and accommodating. location very handy to work and central and museum stations.The Less goodNoise transmitted between floors upstairs could here clear thump thump footsteps through the concrete slab and stuff being dropped. tv remote fault you had to really press the buttons down super hard. Thought it was a broken tv at first. amenity pack dental used by previous guest and put back in packaging with toothbrush (thankfully) missing but not picked up by cleaning staff.The BadAbsolutely nothing.I reported the less good stuff to management on checkout so I do fully expect most of that is an easy fix and will be. My colleagues who visited my accommodation all loved it and were somewhat jealous of the space and closeness to work compared to their 15m2 cubes they were in. It’s close to world square and the coles there had everything I needed to use the kitchen which was awesome. If I didn’t want to cook there was food galore available everywhere. I said to the staff on leaving that I will be back and that’s true. Happy to return to this hotel. I loved it. I booked out early as work finished early staff said they would try to refund if they could however, when I booked it said if I checked out the full rate would be charged. I knew that when I booked. I told staff that I knew the terms of the booking but if they can that would be grand. I do not understand reviews on this site that got their knickers in a knot over lack of refund. It’s in the terms. This is a great hotel if you want space friendliness and cleanliness. Bed was super comfortable and everything was exactly as it said on the tin so to speak. Well done guys. You made me feel like I was home. Everyone was amazing and pleasant and kind and went out of their way to make my stay super pleasant.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Best hotel apartment I have ever been. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment for 5 nights. It was spacious, perfectly cleaned, with a great view, perfectly located in the centre. Staff at reception were so friendly and helpful. Housekeeping team came every day to change towels, make beds, refill coffee pods and sugar etc, (without even us asking). Possibility to order a grocery shop to be ready on check-in too.My family and I were really impressed by the great service provided. Thank you and I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed in the one bedroom apartment. The apartment was lovely, really nicely decorated and spotless. Really comfy bed and pillows. The washer and dryer in the bathroom was a big plus also. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Luggage thrown out by cleaners- cleaners mistook my aunts gift bag that was placed by the door as rubbish and threw it out. Management attempted to blame my aunt for the situation (please see post below of me star). They had checked in less than 24 hours so their luggage was hardly unpacked and the room was already cleaned.To management: I agree that my previous does reflect the damage you’ve done to your reputation in trying to place the blame on the traveler. The most damaging thing to your reputation is not the fact that the luggage was either stolen or thrown out as rubbish but your response and handling of the situation. Other damaging points include1. The communication took nearly two weeks to sort out the situation thus impacting my aunties two week travel around Australia and causing great stress2. You provided $50 for an irreplaceable fob, which everyone agreed was not a reasonable amount to be compensated3. As a reviewer of 38 establishments, yours is the first to receive a one star review. All my other reviews received a 5 star. Good customer service doesn’t take much.This situation indicates that your cleaners need better training on what constitutes as rubbish. Travelers often go shopping and don’t put their shopping away in suitcases straight away. A good cleaner should be able to discern rubbish from luggage and a good hotel establishment should never blame its guest for their own mishandling and mistake.

I recently had the unpleasant experience of staying at the Zara Hotel and I have to say, it was far from the luxurious experience I was promised. The room was dark and dingy, with unfinished decor and dirty footprints on the ceiling (actually sound boards hung from the exposed ceiling). The hotel was not well-maintained and did not live up to the standard it claims to set. The neighborhood was not in a desirable area and far from the city's main attractions.The customer service at the hotel was disappointing, to say the least. When I asked for a refund, the front desk staff was unwilling to accommodate and charged me the full cost of the stay, even though the room was not up to standard and I left immediately after check-in, spending less than 10 minutes on site. This left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.It's clear that the Zara Hotel is just an apartment space that has been refurbished to look good in photos, but in reality, it falls far short of what one would expect from a hotel. The rooms are not well-kept, the staff is unaccommodating, and the neighborhood leaves much to be desired. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and suggest finding alternative accommodations. I stayed at the Intercontinental downtown last minute for about the same cost. This experience was a huge disappointment and I paid dearly $$ for my mistake.

This hotel is an unexpected gem. Modern and tastefully decorated. The entire staff, from management to room services, are professional, friendly, and honestly bend over backwards. The rooms are exceptional with all the mod cons, literally at a touch of a button. The bed was so comfortable, including my choice of pillows. Its location is perfect for sightseeing, buses, trains, shopping including hundreds of bars, clubs and restaurants from 20 meters to a 5 minute walk.The rooms are triple glazed, with a great balcony. The room can be as dark or as light as you prefer. Quality bedding, fixtures, and fittings throughout. This hotel will not disappoint ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not a repeat stay and not good value. Little things added up during my stay that really detracted from my overall experience. The air conditioning outlets in the two bedrooms in our suite didn’t work which was terrible in an Australian summer with temperatures over 30C. This meant we had to all sleep with our doors open so had no privacy which defeated the purpose of paying for the two-bedroom suite. There was no bench in the bathroom, just a freestanding sink and a tiny shelf so I couldn’t keep my toiletries at hand which was an irritating inconvenience. No luggage stands was another inconvenience. These are all things that may not concern others and the rooms were otherwise nice and well-equipped. I found the $400 bond exorbitant and a bit of a shock. One of the lifts wasn’t working so there was always a long wait for the only working lift - this ordinarily wouldn’t have bothered me but it was yet another inconvenience on top of the other problems with our suite. The staff were lovely and the location was good for anyone happy to walk a bit but the room was not good value from my experience.

Stayed in a 2 BDR apartment at Zara towers and the rooms were extremely spacious. There was plenty of cupboard /storage space in all rooms. The cleanliness was immaculate. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern, clean and very well-equipped. The balconies had decent views without compromising on privacy.The customer service of the staff is highly commendable. They will go out of their way to provide for you. The apartment was serviced daily and to very high standards.The location is decent too with a few cafes, restaurants, take-away joints, super-markets and train stations all within walking distance.
