St Ives Nails

I see lots of bad reviews here but considering the amount of people that go through this salon, the number of bad reviews is low. Yes the girls are rushed because they are extremely busy but the quality of the job for the price you pay is great. I have been to many nails salons all over Sydney and the cleanliness and quality of work is far superior to many. I have always had pleasant girls.

The first time I got my nails done here they looked ok (normal polish pedicure) but literally 24 hours later I wore a pair of sneakers and my polish was completely ruined as the person didn’t let them dry between applications, I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and go back and the lady who did my nails was SO rough I’ve never seen anything like it. She ripped off all the gel polish with her hands, taking half of my nail with it and then started hacking at my feet and causing me to bleed, then chastising me when I asked her to please be more gentle. A little bit traumatised after this experience! Also my nails look terrible too, couldn’t believe I was let out of the salon with this sloppy work, there are bits missing and uneven colour and texture etc.

I don’t normally leave reviews but definitely won’t be coming back. Really poor paint job and paid for a pedicure which I definitely didn’t get. All they did was apply a bit of moisturiser. Not worth the money, go elsewhere

My daughter and I booked and came at the agreed time. 45 minutes later we were still waiting. When we asked about our turn they ignored us. We ended up leaving. We all understand if a business is busy or shortstaffed but with such bad customer service and indifference to customers - we wont be coming back and will not recommend.

Walked in right before Christmas which is a very busy time I understand that as someone in beauty. But no one even said hello they all just stared at me until I had to yell so they could hear me. I sat down waited forever and then was called over to a chair that wasn’t even empty yet so I had to stand awkwardly behind another client waiting for her to finish. Incredibly rude staff. Cut my hands multiple times. I asked for a simple red French tip. The tip went down to below my nail line which looked horrible. I asked her to fix it and she said no. Every time she would change fingers she would slap my hand so hard it went red. Not worth the $80 and the fallen off/broken nails 3 days later for Christmas.

bat nha. I walked in for a very quick tidy up manicure. It ruined my lovely day out having staff talk in Vietnamese amongst themselves. This is an English speaking country and they were very rude. I am a linguist and speak French, Italian and Russian. When I go to a country, I always try to communicate in that country's language. I have vowed to learn to speak Vietnamese and catch them out talking about their clients. It is so rude and makes you feel very uncomfortable. Not so much as a smile and the girl didn't even look at me. Hated the whole experience. Never, ever, ever going there again. Sorry.

Pleasant and looks clean. But.....I find it very off-putting when the manicurists just sit and chat to each other. I know I'm in a production line, but they seemed to be talking about others, so felt uncomfortable. The scrub is ok, but no massage. End result fine, but I usually have a more pleasant experience. However, it is convenient to have this done whilst shopping, of course.

Had my old sns removed and new one done today! Really happy with the result, very fast and professional

I’ve been a client for many years - the service at the salon is terrible lately. The staff talk loud to each other non stop! It is such bad manners to stop 10 times during a session to talk to each other or to attend to other people! The quality of their work is also sub standard! They won’t see me again!
