Unfortunately I had a negative experience here over the weekend because I asked for what vegetarian options they had for lunch.I was told by an older worker that she wanted to “park me to the side” so she could serve other customers who were waiting because she couldn’t work out what was available for me.I decided I’m not going to buy lunch there and just got a jelly slice which was not nice. My recommendation don’t go here they are rude and their food is suboptimal. Thankfully the cafe next door is brilliant and actually treats their customers with respect.

Had a beautiful brunch here today. I had eggs on toast with bacon, and they clearly use great produce. Sour dough was mouth watering. Coffee was perfection. My fussy kids devoured their meals. It was a reasonably busy day, but meals came out quickly. Staff were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful coffee in a very cosy atmosphere. The sweet pastries look absolutely delightful. For such a delectable display of food, the pies were pretty average - perhaps I had too high of an expectation.

To be honest, I wasn’t expected to have a really good coffee here in Camperdown. However the coffee in The Loaf & Lounge is fabulous, I love it. I cannot even describe how the service is really professional and friendly. I felt welcomed and I am confident to say that those people are working with passion. I always like to visit local coffee shops while I’m travelling to and from Melbourne, to enjoy a bit of warm vibes and friendly atmosphere. Those people at this coffee shop toke it to the next level. Well done !

The food here is generally nice and the service is pretty good too. The view is great of the main street in Camperdown. The chicken vegetable pies are a favourite, but you have to be quick with those. There are two things that put me off. One minor bug is the state of the sugar jars that look like every kid has stuck their hands in there, so I just don't add sugar to coffee, ever. The table tops feel sticky in general. The other concern is the pricing, particularly the sweets on offer. They are lovely, but the prices are too high. I would give it five stars if I could but I feel that some fixes are needed and not too difficult to achieve.

Pies, lukewarm. No pepper in the pepper beef, too much pepper in the beef and mushroom. Too much gravy and filler in the classic beef Weird yeast tasting pancake. Eggs Benedict was ok. Prices well on the high side. $63 for 3 pies, pancakes and eggs. $8 slice of cake was extremely dry.

Had a Rhuban sandwich, excellent. Great selection of food in cabinet also a great menu on offer. Pasty selection looked amazing, unfortunately we didn't have any. Good coffee too.

Amazing cafe and great coffee! There is a tall and very pretty staff who took our order, she is extremely friendly and energetic, she is the soul of the cafe. This cafe has ample seats and great for coffee and a bite. They also have cakes!
