Spicy Joint Chatswood
A good experience. The restaurant is located in the food area above the train station - a convenient location and a good vibe. The restaurant is nicely decorated and gives off a semi authentic vibe of being in Asia (at least with the dishes and cutlery). The service was fast and efficient so I have no real issues with it, but it could have been a bit more friendly or welcoming etc.In terms of the food, the name of the restaurant does not lie. I think all the dishes we got had a level of spice. It ranged from a “bit of a runny nose” level to a “crying a little bit” level, so nothing too crazy. The dishes were presented well and were very tasty.I highly recommend!

The restaurant is located on the top floor of chatswood interchange outside the train station, it is a very nice place for lunch and family dinner. The food is yum and the environment is warm and welcoming.

Believe me, no need to go to this restaurant. The worst Sichuan restaurant I have ever been.You will properly only feel very oily and spicy in all dishes. I don’t know whether they forgot to add other flavour for example : Salt or chicken powder…… Very nasty taste of Lazijii (辣子雞), if u close your eyes, u don’t know what u are eating for sure(感覺你們油要換一下了 炸出來的雞粒油益味很重，千年油的感覺… and also the (水煮魚), that’s not 水煮魚 sorry, that’s oil and fish and chilli only with no flavour. And the intestine hotpot which I though that must be very 下飯… Finally, very disappointed as it’s only boiled pork intestine with a chilli soup with no salt.If u re expected to eat sichuan dishes, please don’t go there and waste your money on all tasteless food. Thats not Chinese food sorry. And the best dishes of the night is the steam rice.

Service a bit beyond random...Had people who cant explain the bill....there's a 2.89 charge for ordering food... in english it's surcharge... In Chinese it's we added to our order.Foods okay though. Can't complain...Wouldn't recommend for a special occasion though... Definitely not again for my little ones birthday....

Lives up to it’s name. You need to love spicy food. Some mild but many, typically for Szechuan style foods-Hot and spicy.Great value fir money, service was ok. Food fantastic. Suggest you go family style and share.

We landed in this place after browsing inside the Interchange. There was a short wait for our number to be called. Seats were comfortable. We ordered 6 items and they all arrived quite quickly. The jelly noodle dish with peanuts was the dish of the night. The jelly noodles had the best texture and it had the perfect spiciness. The rice was presented in a bamboo case. It is the first time i’ve seen rice presented (and possibly cooked?) this way. The tendons was nice too and so was the belly. There were a lot of preserved vegetables under the pork belly - it will be great if that can be reduced. The rice dumpling balls was really nice. At $4 it is an absolute bargain. Portion was quite good. Overall a great place to eat in, especially if you are into offals (they have a lamb brain dish something we will consider next time). Priced well too. We will be back to try other delicious dishes.

Great location with nice decor. Staff didn't seem very happy to be there but, since it was NYE, will give some leeway there.Food was fantastic and generally great value. The cold chilli chicken was amazing. Unfortunately there was a pebble in our chilli oil fish but thankfully the refunded us for it.Fried chicken with chopped chilli was main disappointing dish as it was mostly comprised of chillis rather than chicken.

Ordered peanuts with vinegar, wonton soup, and spicy and sour jellyfish. All 3 are good. Last time i tried their cold noodle and garlic porkbelly, also good. Been here several times always good food.
