Made a booking to have a Mac Book battery replaced only to be told they couldn't do it for 2 weeks when I got there. Don't take bookings if you can't provide the service!

We had an amazing experience yesterday with the lovely guys who helped out my 85 year old mum with her phone. They were just incredible with my mum, nothing was too hard, and sorted out her problem and it was just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this store.

I took my wife’s iPhone 13 pro to Apple Norwood SA. The initial contact was friendly, and seemingly efficient.(The issue was that when the phone was on speaker, the person on the other end cannot hear her properly. It is crucial for her, speaker phone to work due to a disability she lives with.)Initial diagnostics was done on the day, and we were advised there is “nothing wrong” with her phone. She then insisted that she absolutely needs to be able to make phone calls on speaker phone and the receiver of the call cannot hear her. (compared to her old iPhone X).We were advised the phone will be kept there, tested, and this could take “up to 7 days”. This created a challenge as she is essentially cut off from the outside world without her iPhone, due to her disability.After a week I called for an update, and was advised they have been testing the phone “all week” and there is “nothing wrong” with it. I enquired whether they actually called someone on speaker and whether the receiver could hear them? From the answer it was clear that they tested the speaker (“ I could hear very well on calls”) rather than the microphone.The job description clearly stated that it was a microphone issue, not a speaker issue. The Job description read “I cannot be heard”, not that I “cannot hear”. It seems the customer service rep did not understand the difference due to seemingly bad English abilities??After another three days, now 10 days without the phone, I ring them again, and I’m told the phone will be ready the next day.Only now her iwatch gave notifications about Apple Pay cards being uninstalled, which makes me think nothing was actually done with the phone until day 10.We finally got given the phone back, everything was uninstalled.The phone would then not connect to the network, and when we finally checked, we realised, the phone was given back to me without its Sim card! We needed to go back to Apple to retrieve the Sim card from them.10 days without a (brand new) phone, being told twice there is nothing wrong with my phone, then, being given back an iPhone without my Sim card that has not been backed up properly by Apple, which means she had to reinstall her iwatch as well.Not impressed.

I visited Mac Centre Norwood yesterday as my new Apple Watch was malfunctioning. Kaden and Mark both helped me - what charming, knowledgeable, professional (and patient) young men they both are. Unfortunately I had to attend again this morning as the problem had recurred, so my Watch is being sent to Sydney for investigation, repair if possible and I hope, replacement. I have no confidence in my current Watch and believe that it will continue to show the black screen of death, but I have every confidence in Kaden and Mark who are totally assets to this business. I commend and thank them both.

At 94 I often need help. Kayden has always been most patient, particularly when I was scammed.Not only did he arrange everything for me but also pointed out that I really needed a new phone with which I agreed. However, as I was some what upset by the scam, he said he’d put it aside for me & if, when I calmed down, I still wanted it he’d be happy to sell it to me. The following week I bought it. This mature consideration on his part was very special. I have recommended this particular Mac Centre to others who have been pleasantly surprised.Lois Harverson.
