Toukley Motor Inn

Can't fault it. Not recently updated but not too out of date. Love having windows you can open rather than using air con. Very short walk to supermarket. On-site parking.

Nice and clean place, not far to swimming or fishing. Friendly staff.

My husband said it accurately when he described the room as “a garage with a bed”. The only real view outside the room was via the front glass sliding door, which if you wanted any privacy at all, or to stop people on balconies in other rooms staring straight in, you had to cover with the opaque curtain. (No sheer underlay to offer privacy with natural light). This left us in total darkness so despite it being 2pm we had the lights on so we could see - very claustrophobic. The curtain was falling off the rail, the furniture looked liked it was picked up off the side of the road, no kitchen sink, ONLY 2 cups/teaspoons/saucers so no point having a toaster or microwave to make food as we would’ve needed to bring our own plates and extra cutlery, our allocated car spot wasn’t even in front of our room, and the door lock was incredibly flimsy. The screen door had no lock at all. We decided to cut short our holiday and go home rather than stay here, so we spoke to reception who eventually gave us our money back, which we appreciated. Getting a refund was the best part of our “stay”.

Great accomodation at a very reasonable price. The staff were very nice and helpful, they gave us brochures of the local attractions as we had never been to toukley before. Near the lake and beaches. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay a couple of nights in Toukley!

Great place for a couple of nights stay. The reception staff were very friendly and accomodating. I required an extra bed and this was organised for me prior to my check in which was very convenient. The rooms were very clean and look newly renovated. Excellent location, by the lake, beaches and many restaurants!

I didn't end up staying, my trip was a gift so i wasn't pay for it. So they asked for Drivers license of the person paying for it, seriously in this day and age of cyber crime- no way. So then I tried to make it easy and said send an invoice and they will do direct deposit- again a they asked for drivers Licence . All because the booking was in my name but being paid for by someone else- hence I cancelled my stayMonica

Stayed at Toukley Motor inn last weekend and had a pleasant experience. It’s a quiet motel with lovely reception staff who were very polite and welcoming. The rooms themselves were very clean and up to standard with big TVs and comfy beds. Will definitely be staying here when travelling through toukley next time.

The booking system had a malfunction and booked my stay for the night I was making the booking, instead of the first initial, requested booking date (months in advance). Within the first few hours of making my booking, the Motor Inn called to confirm my stay for that night. I advised there was a glitch with the booking system and that we lived over 2 hrs away and were not staying the night at their Motor Inn. I asked if the booking could be changed to the correct dates, which I was rudely and bluntly told no;“ Unfortunately as the booking is for today we are unable to change the date.In future please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you would like to change the date.”The booking was just made, there was no way I could have advised any earlier.I had tried via phone and email to resolve this problem and every communication I have had with this business has been so unprofessional and not helpful in anyway. The staff are very rude and not understanding or cooperative.I did not end up staying at this hotel. I ended up booking elsewhere.

Very basic.Had a small toaster and microwave.Free WiFi, worked very well.Bed was good and shower hot.

Tired accommodationAlbeit clean but had to ask for hair dryer and supplies. TV remote taped up , and did not work. No crockery, except for 2 very small cups and glasses, only 1 teaspoon. Had to ask for cutlery, after some push back, was handed 2 plastic knives and 2 paper plates, no spoons. Being in room 10, the cutlery and crockery, is only supplied to the bigger family rooms, according to the receptionist .The shower tap came off in your hand, we screwed it back on, also the bathroom window was unable to be opened.The room smelled of sewage, even though clean. After paying $298 for 2 nights, for a queen room, WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. The standards need to be improved.
