That Vintage Shop

Awful. Waste of time & energy. On the Internet they advertise what they do not do. No smile, no welcome...Many stores are like that nowadays. They make you go to the shops in case there is a profit for them only. Dishonesty in Australia& the Internet is beyond belief nearly everywhere: from the fruits shops to the antiques stores. One cannot believe how Australia has changed in the last 25 or more years to the point that it is impssible ou very hard to trust anyone. We really need a good reformer to change the society in terms of ethics & delivery.

Great place for antiques, especially lamps. They service and clean them up so they’re ready to install, huge range of chandeliers and old warehouse lampshades. They also have furniture and knickknack’s. They are priced above opp shops so not for someone that wants a bargain.

Outstanding range of genuine vintage and replica vintage lights and homewares. And range of fittings, like brass light fixtures. Helpful and passionate staff. A bit of a gem.

I took my floor lamp into that Vintage shop for repair/ rewire. Brett did a great job and I was reasonably charged for it, I was really happy with it. The shop also have many interesting stuff.

I’m sure they are fine if you buy from them in person but just a warning to anyone trying to buy from their website. I purchased an item and it took them two weeks to respond to me and issue a refund as my purchased item was no longer available. I had been patient, waiting almost a week before I asked if there was an update, since my item said it was still at the ‘picking’ stage. Their social media indicated it was business as per usual so I don’t know why I had to reach out on their website, by email a couple days later, by Facebook a day and a half after that, and finally by Instagram a day or so after my last attempt to contact them, before I finally received an update - two weeks after my purchase. The sad thing is that item still shows as available on their website. Just a warning to anyone trying to buy from their website.

Brought a lamp in to be rewired, Brett was honest: only needed a new plug. Service was quick and very reasonably priced, all in all very happy customer
