I had my Size 14 dress altered to Size 16 for my son's wedding. Effie had the silk, organza & velvet to work this miracle. I booked an initial appointment & had 2 fitting appointments + a 3rd for the final try on. I was extremely happy with the results & will definitely use Effie's services again.

I used Effie's Bridal for alterations on my wedding dress, it needed to be taken in a full size, taken up and also the tulle sleeves shortened. After my initial appointment I left the dress in Effie's capable hands and I was not disappointed. I ended up going for three fittings, we took the waist in closer to the date as I kept losing weight from wedding planning stress. The outcome was perfect, my dress fit like a dream and was so beautiful and comfortable to wear on the day, my only sadness is that I never get to wear her again!

Can't recommend Effie and her team enough! I was turned away by another bridal alterations place in Sydney and had such an awful experience and had the complete opposite experience with Effie and her team. No issue was too big for Effie and they altered my bridal gown from a size 12 to a size 8 perfectly and they turned it around so quickly! Highly highly recommend and will be coming back to have other gowns and dresses altered by Effie and her team in future.

Effie expertly altered my Mother of the Bride dress and helped me with deciding on a suitable jacket to cover the dress as it was backless and would not be suitable to wear on its own in a Catholic church!!! She advised me on where to get the fabric and I found the perfect one at Saigon Fabrics. The result was a stunning rose gold opera jacket that Effie made from scratch. I had so many people compliment me on my outfit. I cannot recommend Effie highly enough. Many thanx Effie :))

To say Effie is a miracle worker is an understatement. She spent months ensuring my very detailed, hand-beaded couture bridal gown fit like a glove and I wouldn't have trusted anyone else. Effie did the most magic job of altering my wedding dress! My dress was a sample, so I had some tricky requests including adding length, and she managed to do it all perfectly.
