3.3km one way 2.5km return walk on one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, meanders along the shoreline of Marshall Bay, crossing stunning beaches and coastal hinterlands on its way to Castle Rock, a massive granite boulder.

This massive rock blew me away. We drove the dirt track to the beach area, then walked around the seaside to get to Castle Rock. Definitely woth the effort. There is even a beach to the left of the rock when facing the ocean. Wonder opportunity to walk over other rocks to enjoy the scenery.

Well worth a visit but not worth the walk. I drove pretty much right up to it so for me it was a good visit.

A must see natural attraction on the Island. Yes it is just a big rock but it is a beautiful beach in a beautiful bay. The road in is good and easily navigable.

You can reach Castle Rock, an imposing, monolithic boulder on the end of a headland, via a short (300m) walk from a nearby car park, or as part of the 4km (one-way) Castle Rock Great Short Walk".The rock itself is worth a visit
