Edit update:January 202211 months on and a change of staff and with that unfortunately a change in quality, both service and food. The photos show the difference a year makes. Understandably it’s been a tough year but it’s sad to see such a change in the food and coffee. No longer my favourite place to breakfast.February 2021Always super friendly staff. The coffee is good, the food is generous and priced right. They are accommodating and helpful. My go to breakfast cafe when staying in Torquay. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is tasty and delicious.

Great little café, especially for burger lovers with a dozen variations to choose from. I had the Sunrise burger, and it was even better than any of the burgs I had in America when I went there on vacation. The chips were also good, not too thick of a batter with just enough crunch. I did have one of their blueberry tarts but it had too thick of a pastry base for my liking, but I won’t take off a star for it because the burger was just that good. I can’t comment on the macchiato unfortunately because I didn’t think it would be too strong for me. The man working there was also kind, attentive and patient. Lovely outdoor area and very reasonable prices on everything, too. So I reckon I might be coming back sometime.

Four of us came to Sticks and Stones Café in Torquay for lunch. We ordered a range of food including the chicken parmigiana, chocolate waffles, vegan avocado on toast, and burger with chips. Collectively, we all the thought the food was okay but nothing special. The staff were friendly and provided good customer service. Thank you!

We were here for our breakfast, we were welcomed by a very nice staffs, enjoyed the outside table.Their Italian omelette, King Breakfast and egg Benedict were excellence. The flat white was memorable. When checking out we were greeted by the humble owner and got some cake as a gift of their good gesture.it was a great and pleasure experience for us, we will be back for sure.

Decided to go for a bit of a day trip and stopped off for breakie here. The atmosphere of this cafe was nice, definitely the kind of place you'd go to have a yarn and socialise if you're local to the area or just passing through. The service was good, though we did sit at the table for a while with our handed menus before realising you had to order at the counter (not a massive issue, just stood out because of the great start to the seating). As for the food, hands down one of the best iced coffees I've had. The King's Breakfast was nice, however, even though the menu says Hash browns, be prepared for the plural not to be followed through. A nice breakfast none the less.

We visited this cafe just by chance. It's a beautiful cafe with nice ambience and friendly staff. They have a seating outside as well which is beautiful. We ordered a vegetarian burger, chicken parma, coffee and fresh juice. The portion size was apt and the meal was delicious. The burger was not too juicy - which I love. Fresh juice was 10/10. Definitely recommend.

We had breakfast here, simply delicious, the food took a bit to come out, but we were hungry and it was pretty busy.. so all forgiven.I Ordered egg Benedict which is normally small at most places, but this was a decent portion not leaving me hungry when I left.Would definitely recommend.

A bit hard to find (it’s behind the Oakley store), but this tucked away little gem is a pleasure to find. A big shout out to the young lady who served us, she was very polite and accommodating. Prices are what you would expect, would definitely go again.
