Ned's Bake
Busy but nice vibe can be a little noisy. Food and coffee was good. Lots of good selection in the windows. Convenient location along High St.

The ambience of the shop is the first thing you notice, the high ceilings and the large display of pastries and the smell of some amazing coffee! The service was amazing and very attentive. They were friendly, helpful and approachable! The food was absolutely delicious! The souffle, the chilli scramble and the double baked bread and butter pudding too!The coffee was amazing too. Amazing barista!James Tanatit was an absolute pleasure as always! ❤️

Came in for an afternoon croissant - paid & ordered at the bar. Was told by the waiter that he would bring it over to my table. I sat waiting for awhile, I had one waiter ask if I was waiting for anything, I told him, but it was only after a second waitress came over to check what I had ordered that she returned with my croissant and drink. The original waiter who took my order was on his phone behind the counter & speaking with other staff the whole time. The interior is beautiful, croissant was nice, but the service & care is really lacking here sadly.(Note: it was 2.30pm & very quiet, so not a peak hour/staffing issue)

This place is overrated.I’ve dined in twice, and I thought I’d give Ned’s a second chance, just in case they were having an off day on my first visit. The staff are completely disinterested - working seems to be a chore for them. Our server knocked the empty seat from the table behind us on to mine and walked off - he expected one of us diners to pick it up off the floor. We all looked at each other quite puzzled. Further, a simple apology would have been welcomed.I ordered the oat porridge for brunch and it was served out of a shallow, almost flat bowl. By the time the dish was served, the oats had congealed and had an awful gluey consistency. They were inedible.I’ll stick to the other amazing cafes and restaurants in the area and avoid Ned’s from now on.

The staff are super friendly. We came near to closing time but they never rushed like some cafes would. We had a great experience and the pastries and coffee were amazing :)

Great French style bake house cafe with a good selection of pastries. We ordered coffees and a custard donut. The coffee flavour and strength was good. Busy place with cosy relaxed vibe. The staff were friendly.

Vibrant experience in the heart of Armadale, with a wide variety of items for food and drinks on the menu. I really like the sweet selection.Coffee was very well made, high quality beans used. The team were very friendly and polite. We will definitely come back again.

Best croissant I've had in Melbourne for a long time! Very nice coffee and a relaxed atmosphere when eating in in the early morning. Music not stupidly either loud, like most places seem to be now.

Ned’s bake finally has an armadale outpost, situated next to recently opened victor churchills and it is absolutely divine. The staff are super nice and friendly and were so on the ball for their opening day!I was in a hurry and wanted to check out the spot so I got a toasted chicken sandwich. While I appreciated the dill throughout the chicken I felt like it could have had a bit more salt/pepper to make those flavours bounce! The selection of items here is exquisite and could feed a town in France for a week! Lucky there are plenty of pastry lovers in Armadale to get around it.I have edited my review to 4 stars after paying too dollar for a number of toasts which were quite flavourless unfortunately. I still think their breads and baguettes are epic however some of the pre made things just don’t hit the mark and are particularly soggy after sitting in the cooler for a while.
