Okukan Karate is great for kids. Teaches karate skills, discipline, team work and the importance of being physically active. A great space for kids to learn balance, my son really enjoyed the challenges he was faced and being able to learn to deal with them.

I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful Dojo and the balance created by Sensai Sandra, Meg and the students. My daughter loves it and has developed so much strength, respect, dedication, and self-belief under Sensai's guidance. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

Wonderful atmosphere for children to learn. Excellent balance of respect for the discipline and encouragement; and very supportive. Sensei Sandra is very good. The staff are very professional and friendly and the administrative processes are always handled with ease.

Absolutely love Sensai Sandra. Her approach and engagement with kids in particular is fantastic where she has mastered the fine line between letting the kids have a lot of fun while also instilling focus and discipline. Highly recommended OKUKAN.

Our daughter started karate training at Okukan before lockdown and couldn't wait to get back into it after lockdown. The benefits have been more than physical. She's grown in confidence and is motivated by Sensei Sandra's calm ways. We feel like it's a really special place where her development is encouraged and supported. Thanks to Sandra and Meg for all they do.
