m1 Resort Maroochydore

Charged a $400 booking fee/deposit contrary to advertised accommodation deal. When contacted, receptionist rude and unhelpful blaming the third party for the misleading information and didn’t want any details to prevent further customers having the same issues. Receptionist also advised we will be charged a cancellation/ administration fee in order to get our deposit back, also contrary to the booking summary. I don’t normally write negative reviews but strongly feel customers need to be aware that you WILL be charged a deposit fee and it can take up to 30 days to be refunded if cancelling the booking contrary to any online deals advertised. Misleading information and disinterest staff; will not be booking/staying here in the future.Update (26-Apr-2023): to the M1 team, as previously stated I’m happy to email you a copy of the booking confirmation stating no booking fees and free cancellation before 10th December 2023 to prevent it happening to others. But I’m guessing that isn’t what you are trying to achieve with your post.

We stayed for 5 nights in room 212 as a family of 5. It is a 3 bedroom, split level apartment right on the river with amazing views. It was amazing! Wish we had longer! It was huge. The balcony was massive and was the size of most normal apartments. Having the 3 bedrooms was excellent as all kids had an actual bed vs a rollaway bed. All bedrooms have big wardrobes which was great. Staying for 5 days allowed us to unpack and not live out of a suitcase. The kitchen was great! Had everything you need and was probably the same size as my kitchen at home. We also had 2 bathrooms which was great with the 5 of us. It was also in a great location for the pool (which was great!) and the BBQ. They were on the same level and outside our room, but we never heard any noise from anyone out there. Katrina was also very lovely any time we rang prior to arriving, and was lovely when we were checking in and always said hello when we walked past when going in or out. That really made the experience even better. The location itself was perfect for us. Great walking along the river to the beach and it was literally next to Woolworths, Holey Moley and a range of other shops, as well as a heap of great restaurants. It was also walkable (5-10 minute easy walk) to more restaurants, Timezone and the Sunshine Coasts biggest shopping centre that had everything you could need or want. We have 2 coeliacs in our family and we had not problems eating out, it was easy than home. It was a quick drive to get on the freeway to go north to Noosa or south to Brisbane, and less than 10 minutes to Mooloolaba. Mooloolaba was great to visit but was also very busy during the holidays. Overall we loved our stay both for the hotel and it's location, but also for Maroochydoore. We'll definitely be back!

What a fantastic resort. Stayed here from 16/12/21 - 24/12/21 in room 806 (2 Bedroom Apartment). The apartment was incredibly spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. Being able to relax on the balcony was also great.The pool facilities were fantastic and not very busy which was a plus. Although we didn't use the gym, it appeared to be well equipped.The location of the Resort is also great, being just next door to the Big Top Shopping Centre and a multitude of restaurants. The Sunshine Plaza, Cotton Tree Shops and Maroochydoore Beach are all within a comfortable walking distance.Staff were also super friendly and even held our bags for us when we checked out. The resort is also incredibly affordable. I would return to M1 resort in a heartbeat.

Apartments are always clean & great service from Katrina. We've been coming here for over 10 years.

A mixed residential/tourism resort that has all the comforts of home and much more.We have many great vantage points and can see everything from the Sea to the Hinterland but in particular, we overlook the river going passed the Big Top Shopping Centre up to Sunshine Plaza.Mark and Katrina have been wonderful and we have got far more than we expected since arriving.This is the place to stay on the Sunshine Coast, without a doubt.

I recently stayed at M1 Resort and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the apartment ... it was massive! Even the balcony was large.The apartment was spotlessly clean.And Katrina, the Building Manager, was exceptionally helpful.

We met Katrina on arrival and she was wonderful. Explained all we needed to know. Room we had was perfect. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Nice and clean, apartments and very spacious. Good view of river from balcony. Easy access to shops and walking distance to Sunshine Plaza.
