Wallsend Dog Off-Leash Area
Convenient area for locals to let their dogs have a run around. BE AWARE though that there is no fencing between the area and Lake Rd (a major and busy roadway) making safety an issue if your pet is off leash and likes to chase vehicles or has no road sense, as the potential for an accident with motor traffic is there if your not careful, also there are no rubbish bins anywhere, nor is there any seating shaded or covered to protect from weather, which can be an inconvenience especially for the elderly or parents with the very young and there is also no access to fresh water.

Beautiful spot , so much fauna and flora . Shameful that people are not picking up their rubbish or dog poo and it runs into Ironbark creek .

NOT suitable at all as a dog off-leash area. This is a small strip of grass on the side of a busy road, with no where to easily park your car.

It is so close to the main road, you would be a fool to let a dog off a leash here... there is a massive park just across the bridge... have at that instead.
