Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Burwood

I joined as a beginner with zero previous martial arts experience. Not once did I feel intimidated or nervous. In fact, I've never felt more welcome than before.It is obvious that the staff and trainers have instilled the values of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to the students. Everyone is humble, respectful and patient to each other despite having varying levels of skill during training.The course structure is well thought out and has clear levels of progression. It keeps you motivated to come back for more.Special shout out to Robbie for providing this space to learn being an excellent teacher. Robbie's depth of knowledge and skill of fitness, jiu-jitsu and martial arts is immense.

Robbie teaches in such a simple manner, yet easy to understand. The atmosphere is super relaxing and everyone is eager to learn both from the instructors and each other, something which is rarely seen elsewhere.

As a socially anxious person I couldn’t recommend Gracie jiu jitsu Burwood more. They have a very friendly community with great instructors and staff.

This place is brilliant. The quality of teaching is exceptional, and the classes are structured well. The culture is also really nurturing; everyone that I've met (instructors and more experienced students alike) have been genuinely interested in helping me learn. Couldn't recommend this gym enough if you're looking to start jiu jitsu.

What an AMAZING team of instructors! My 5yo loves going to the classes. Every class has the same structure so the kids know what to expect. Classes are fun but kids also learn about principles of Jiujitsu and proper grappling techniques. Best thing I have enrolled my son in.

After months of contemplation, I finally joined this incredible community, and I wish I had done so sooner. Completing a morning session is the best way to kick start your day!

Robbie is extremely patient and full of energy, really glad we joined Gracie Burwood.We were referred to Gracie Burwood by a friend who has been sending their children there for about a month. Although my son was hesitant when he first joined, he still sat and watched his first class. The second time we went back he was a lot more comfortable, familiar and confident and we have been going back ever since.The women empowerment classes are also really useful and I wish I knew about this earlier. I wish all girls were taught these self defense skills from a young age.

My 9 year old loves to go to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Robbie is an amazing instructor who makes classes so much fun.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Burwood is awesome, l can’t believe how good Robbie is with the kids and how much fun he makes the classes along with how welcomed he makes the kids feel. He has a great way with the kids and this is obvious by the smiles at the end of each class.I am so glad my son Max has taken an interests in Jiu-Jitsu and l have Robbie to thank for that.
