Outpost Espresso
Sunday 30th of July was forecast to be 26 degrees celsius, Sydney warmest recorded July day on record. We decided to use this as excuse to visit the Collaroy on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We popped into Outpost Espresso, a short walk from the beach. Perfect for a coffee or a bite to eat, pre or post beach visit. This cosy cafe is popular with locals and visitors alike. Serving the ever popular Campos Coffee with Single origin varieties from Guatamala and Columbia.The staff are very friendly, on first name basis with many visitors and chatting to the customers as they wait for their take away coffees.The menu caters to people wanting to dine in or those in a rush after a quick bite on the run. There are a range of cookies, cakes and sandwiches. There are all day breakfast options including chia, pudding and granola. We ordered ricotta on toast. Served on sour dough from brasserie bread with cinnamon and honey on top, simple and tasty.The also do a range of healthy bowl options. We ordered the tuna bowl. The flavour was nice, the bowl made with a mix of quinoa, almonds, sunflower seeds carrot kale and tuna all mixed together with two eggs on top.Great little cafe for a good coffee, friendly service and a bite to eat.

Best coffee in the area. I’ve recently become a regular at outpost and wanted to share the feedback I give the staff - coffee of dreams!This place has changed management a number of times so the historical ones aren’t reflective of the cafe quality they’ve built today (feb 2023.) Enjoy the coffee and a stroll to the beach at the end of the road.

Slowest service I’ve ever experienced.The guy on the register was taking his time between orders as if he didn’t want to be at the register, waited about 10 mins in line. Then waited 20 mins for the coffee only for him to put it on the bench and not call a name for the order as if we’re mind readers.

Love the coffee! Very good! The food is also great! Could maybe do with an extra vegetarian option of wrap but otherwise perfect!

Used to love coming here to get the avocado on toast. They have recently changed the menu so now unable to get all the older stuff. I asked the lady if I could get what they usually had and she said no. I wish they had 2 versions of the avocado on toast or able to get something similar. I asked for no sunflower seeds on the avocado toast however saw the lady start to put some on. The other lady told her that we didn’t want the seeds and I watched her take the fennel off with her bare hands ( no gloves ). Then quickly rinsed her hands under the water and continued to make the toast.

The brekky wraps are incredible, the coffee is great and the staff are wonderful. Grab a coffee and a wrap then go sit at fisherman's beach. Perfect.

Outpost Espresso
The girl was rude rushing to het my order and saying they were going to close in 40 minutes. However, my order was well ahead of other customers who came after me. In addition, I requested no feta cheese but I was given it. Coffee was not good. All I could hear was the girl taking about a colleague negatively in background . Front windows were veery dirty and seething outside uncomfortable, so had to go indoors ,will it be back!

Congratulations on providing a decent sized tea pot, an organic tea bay at a decent price - much better than most local cafes.
