Meat Up Roast

Grabbed the roast pork with noodles ($13), noodles were seasoned nicely with some greens on the side. Pork was crispy, just a bit too salty for my liking. Portion was a decent size.

This place is inside the Cambridge International Food Forum. Like the name suggests, it's all about meat. They offer meals and roast meats you can take away or dine in.After having had both, I can say the food is tasty. The meals are always good. However, roast meats can vary a little bit on different days.I usually try the Fish Wing Curry Laksa. Recently, they changed the menu, so I've been enjoying some of the other Laksa. The Stir Fry Hor Fun is a favourite, and I would describe as a Char Kway Teow without the egg sauce (dry). The really hot fire on the wok accentuates the BBQ flavour.

Ordered 2 X Roast Duck,@ over $15 a serve. What I got is bones with no meat on it. Not only did I wait for a good half an hour because they're super unorganised but the serves came out with tasteless noodles.It was the worst meal I have ever had in Perth, hands down.Do yourself a favour, don't waste your money, they're the biggest con and doubt they care of what you think of them. Extremely ignorant and can't cook for the life of them.Go somewhere else where you can get much better food for less money and no bones.

The Egg Noodles and BBQ Pork from this place tasted good. Was about 14 dollars. Also came with some Fried Prawn Dumplings which tasted very good. Those dumplings were very well cooked indeed

Had the laksa with roast pork. Not the best but decent.

I only had the roast pork noodle and the meat is way too salty. Would recommend the duck over the roast meat. The lady at the counter is friendly and other dishes looks good.

Meat Up Roast...Want to recognise that the young chap taking the order today(have not seen him before) is super friendly and very accommodating. It is because of him that the Star Rating is 2 stars instead of just one star.But this place is a real DOWNER for food.I do not mind paying more. Honestly, am well aware that prices of ingredients are up.But when stalls or restaurants do the dirty on you with not only small quantity/portion but inferior quality, that is when they do not deserve to be supported.This Dual Roast Combo with rice is $18. Small portion and the duck was all bone.The fried vermicelli with Chicken Curry, did not look like the pic that was advertised. Vermicelli was anaemic, hardly had any bean sprouts. The curry saved the dish as it was ok.I know the old chap who used to run the Malaysian Hawker place in Broadway Nedlands. He is/was part of the opening of this stall. I showed him the plates I had picked up and told him, you should understand going down this path will not be good for your business. His reply was he does not work there instead of doing anything. Later saw him wiping plates inside.Sadly, out of 4 meals eaten there over the last 12 months 2 meals were just not up to scratch. So cannot be said we do not try to give these newbies" a chance.Am going to stop patronising this stall as they do not care for the customer.We need to support the food outlets who do right by us by delivering consistently great food and good value."

Pleasantly surprised by this roast meat food hall outlet. The duck and pork were adequately seasoned, even though the flavour was pretty standard, and the duck skin had a decent roast texture and the pork skin was crispy.The rice dishes also come with duck sauce drizzled over the rice, and there's additional sauces such as chili and plum sauce available at the counter.The convenience of the store makes this an ideal place to grab Cantonese roast and BBQ in the local area.

Tried the $14 chicken curry rice takeaway for dinner. Pretty good, but very spicy. Flavours underneath the burn, chicken on the bone, potato perfect but yea, hot !

Having dined at Uncle’s cooking since he was at Broadway NEDLANDS, Meat Up has been at Cambridge international food court some yearsWhy 3 stars? Consistency. Sometimes, the meats are tender, juicy and luscious. Sometimes, they’re dry and questionable. I’ve had chicken rice so different sometimes I wonder if it’s the same chef.Hainan chicken rice with the bone in. Soft; but the rice was a yellow premix stock. Whereas previously, it was soft and full of Hainan chicken flavour. Okra usually nice. And the curries popular.Lots of options. Give it a go. Just don’t have high expectations.
