Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant
Authentic Chindian cuisine. Took me back to 1970s Calcutta .Friendly staff and prompt service. However, we were seated by the door, despite a vacant table deeper in the restaurant for 45 minutes after we arrived. A cold gust chilled us every time someone entered or left the restaurant. Hence 4 and not 5 stars.

Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant
Hidden suburban gem!! Steve, owner and chef, brilliant pizza, very tasty Chinese dishes and quite a reasonable wine list. Highly recommend it for a meal that is varied, great taste and really well priced. Staff are friendly and efficient.

I understand that the prices for everything are going up these days. So the owner (Steve) has raised his menu price but giving a tag which says Minimum spend apply. I think it just shows that Steve is becoming a bit Greedy.

Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant
It's a really amazing restaurant. I simply love their Manchurian Pizza. Ambience is good with Asian touch. It has an authentic taste for Asians. At times finding a parking lot is a bit of a challenge on a busy day but this place is worth taking the pain.

Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant
This is a no-go for Indo Chinese, the place doesn't serve Indiana Chinese. It's near to Chinese food but if you are looking for India style Chinese would not recommend it. I had no issues with service. One more thing I didn't like was the restaurant forcing you to order minimum of $20 per person (the pricing is such that will be easy to achieve but you should not be telling your customers to order for minimum) this only applicable on weekends and public holidays. Ambiance is good no issues with service.

Worst customer service and really disappointing experience on Mother’s Day.When we entered at 6:40,before offering a table to customer to sit -waiter mentioned to finish our dinner at 7:30 sharp saying they have another booking….then She kept the menu on the table with little note-minimum spend $20 per person, which was unbelievable and so rude.At 7:15 we were almost finished eating , and she again came and reminded us to finish at 7:30, I said we are already done and it’s 7:20 and u don’t worry .. so still 10 minutes… we left the table immediately at 7:22.80% tables were empty, when we were eating…still they made us finished early….restaurant was not busy at all.REMEMBER-YOU WERE NOT FEEDING US FOR FREE.We spent $130 for 3 people’s dinner….without mentioning they charged 10% extra $13 for service charge on Sunday which no services business have ever asked before.The owner started screaming from the kitchen when my husband asked why it’s extra service charged for Sundays? As a business owner we don’t charge from my customers….. and no one charges in Australia.We Really had bad experience on Mother’s Day dinner… would never ever recommend this place to anyone.If there’s a option to give 0 star , I would even give 1star

Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant
Some really unique fusion dishes. Such as Manchuria Pizza. Or an okra and potato dish which reminds me of a vegetarian version of chicken chips and gravy.Quite a number of interesting vegetarian dishes. Even the fried rice has some unique twists like water chestnut.Warm friendly atmosphere with great service.Delicious and comforting. Will be back.

i came here solely because of the 4.5 ratingpizza is worth a 4.5 rating out of 5other dishes unfortunately did not buy me a 4.5 ratingi would generally give a 3.5 out of 5 overallthe western food quality here is better than the asian part of the menugood thing- parking is convenient 5 out of 5price- reasonable for nowadays
