Clare Valley Motel

Cannot thank the hotel enough!! we called last minute at 8:40pm at night after a camping venture did not go to plan (over run by huge 8 legged visitors) and we were in desperate need of a room. The hotel was SOOO accommodating and understanding. Have never been more thankful for wonderful service!!! will definitely be back to stay again; camping is not for us!! thankyou again!!!!!

We booked the king spa room for 2 nights at $470, this is a normal price in most places we stay but is well over priced for here. My wife has driven past this place for 30 years always loving how beautiful it looks so we finally decided to stay, we were very let down. When we arrived we were met with bugs and spiders in the lamps and on the bed, not a problem we know you can't help bugs but then there was hairs in the bed, completely different colour to either of ours. We went out to get dinner and came back to find there were no plates to eat off of, we found 2 tiny plates. Also the lack of a kitchen and having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink with no diswasing liquid provided was very odd. The Alpacas and the view were the only good thing about this place. The spa bath was full of dead bugs and when we finally got it cleaned and tried it and half of the jets didn't work and some bubblers missing covers. In the guest book it says there is no cooking in any room due to safety, I believe this is more of a we don't have room to put in a kitchen so you can't cook" if it was really about the cooking then they wouldn't supply a microwave and toaster

First impressions walking in was this place looks great, but the smell in our 3 bedroom apartment was bad, coming from our microwave and smelt the entire house out.The kitchen benches and table were dirty. Bottle caps under the bed, dirty carpets and walls. Furniture is still falling apart as someone else mentioned from November 2022.NO WORKING FIRE ALARM.Promises from the website for a hottub. The hot tub is big enough for a small child only and it did not have a plug. One of the workers tried to find me a plug but no kne could help her locate one.Our oven didnt work and when we called they said oh yeah the last guy complained about that too" and said it was already nighttime and too late to fix and to use the outdoor bbq to cook out pasta while it was raining. but the next day they didn't come out to fix the oven either. We stayed for 3 days.No phone to dial "9" like their outdated guest information book suggested.Washing machine doesn't do a full cycle without an error message popping up.Aircon I'm bedroom only worked when it felt like it.One of the PowerPoint's did not work in the bedroom.Only 1 PowerPoint to either charge phone

SPOT ON!!Exceeded expectations!Our beautiful king room was clean, furnished & well maintained.Condiments were supplied & the service was amazing.The young lady at reception was incredibly helpful & insightful & the motel facilities were perfect.Great value for money & an ideal location!The motel is set back off the road so there was no traffic noise or uncomfortable situations.

Booked at this place for the night for a wedding. I had received all the confirmation emails from booking on their website. On arrival, I was told my booking wasn’t there. They found my booking email, which was confirmed, but had not secured my room. On further investigation, they found the manager had cancelled my booking late at night, without telling me or sending any details. The people at the desk, constantly kept reminding me they have only just taken over, and are the reliefs until the manager returns. They had no other rooms, and with a wedding in 2 hours, this absolutely ruined my night. While they were helpful with ringing a couple of places, they couldn’t help me, and we had to get ready in their bathroom. Our night was ruined, and the added stress of trying to make other arrangements made for an unenjoyable night. If you’re going to cancel a reservation, let your customers know, or at least, you should fix the situation, instead of leaving the customer high and dry. Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend, only book, if you want to gamble with securing a room when you arrive.

3 Bedroom Apartment.Bruce was lovely. Linen was all very clean, and beds were comfortable. Unfortunately we were sold the “3 bedroom apartment” for 1 night at $395. It’s actually a 1970’s portable cement sheet house with original interior fitout, aged, worn, porous, falling apart with evidence someone has tried to stick it all back together to make it function now as accommodation (the carpet was disgusting). There may be a problem with the sewerage as one end of the house smelt so. I don’t have a problem staying in a dilapidated old house but should be advertised and priced accordingly (maybe $100??). My intention with this review is not to trash the business as it appears as though all the other motel rooms were neat and tidy and meet the expectations for a standard motel room. But if anyone needs to book the a larger family space and they think they’re getting a standard 3 bedroom apartment, this is not standard!

Adequate accommodation, I thought bit overpriced but it was clean and bed comfortable. We were expecting restaurant onsite as per Google maps info however has been closed for over a year now. The pool looked clean and nice BBQ area for the warmer months. Hosts friendly and helpful. Laundry: washer $5 dryer $5 uses $1 coins. Detergent available for $2.50

Meant to have WiFi, but didn't work. Had a mouse visit us in wee hours of morning. And toilet was leaking

No can opener to open tins.Good place for a short stay but not for a week.Not a walking distance to the main town.Lacking shaded car parking.With 4 Tesla Car charger !!! WOW
