Seaside fish market

The barramundi was NOT fresh at all and yet the saleswoman recommanded it to me. Yes you have successfully sold the nearly gone bad fish to a customer yet at the same time became totally untrustworthy.

I bought a dozen oysters (unopened) here today and 5 out of 12 were dead with broken shells before we opened it. There was even one with big opened shell without flesh in it… the salesman promised me that he picked the freshest ones for me… the remaining 7 pieces didn’t taste good too… I feel scammed…

This shop is NOT worth even a single star rating !!!My wife went on 14-Mar-2020 to buy 2 lobsters and 1 mud crab.They are all bought live at the shop for almost $200.We asked the shop to cut the creature into parts for us.When we went home , we found that the meat were NOT fresh, as we can tell from the colour. It lost its flesh appearance during an half an hour trip backfrom shop to home.When cooked, the lobster meat was NOT tasty as it should like flesh. Instead we suspect the meat was from a dead lobster. Extremely embarassed before my guests.My advice : Never let the shop to treat any live seafood.I have told all my friends NEVER ever go back to this shop.

Worst fish market ever, please note that this store exchange the seafood at the back and wrap you the fish that has gone bad and stinky! Don’t go to this place if you have other choices!

I didn't get mud crabs or anything live here but my experience was ok.Bought 2.1kg of red spot whiting and it was a really good deal. $11 for 2kg of whiting fish which was an excellent deal. The fish were also very fresh and I could hand pick the fish myself. Staff were funny and were friendly.

i went to buy cooked prawn from this shop. l saw a cooked tiger prawn look ok and it is a product of Australia . I asked the shop assistant and he said it is a Australia prawn and there is a sign at the front saying it is a product of Australia.l want to buy 5kg for the family party and the shop assistant went back to the store room and bought a 5 kg box. the print on the box said IT IS A PRODUCT OF THAILAND.He told me they have been selling like a product of Australia all the time and it is the same.OMG the shop owner should be fined .

Manager is very rude. trying to sell me stale seafood。This shop is NOT worth even a single star rating !!!

I am a local to Eastwood and i have been buying seafood from this store for many years. However as the customers to this store has decreased overtime possibly due to competition from other stores, the practices and attitudes of this shop has also changed significantly. The shop currently seems more like a real estate agency than a seafood shop as the workers blindly recommend and lie about the freshness and the quality of the fish. I usually just ignore this and buy what I want. However, today a worker at the shop took a salmon cutlet, weighed it and replaced it with a smaller cutlet. This disgusted me and urged me to write this review. I would really recommend not going to this store due to their lack of morals and improper business practices.

Terrible terrible terrible , don’t even bother to go there , one staff told me the fish was 15$ /kg and when charging , they charge me 15$. Per fish , which when I cooked was so bad . I can’t explain , it got scrambled like eggs . Total waste of money and time .

VERY DISHONEST SEAFOOD SHOP !! bought a live mud crab from them. They got a female staff standing outside selling a foam box of live mud crab. Took it home immediately (only 3 minutes), found out the mud crab did not move anymore. When I got close, bad smell from the mud crab surrounded with some little white worms. This is disgusting! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ASIAN SEAFOOD SHOP, I paid $42 for nothing. I believe in Karma though !! Can't wait to see this seafood shop going bankrupt. Shame on them !
