We are so thrilled at the outcome of the renovation and extension of our Charnwood home. We went from a pokey 2 bedroom/1 bathroom to a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house.Greg and his team were exceptional and the quality of the work was outstanding. Greg was attentive, polite and had very impressive project management skills. The project went smoothly and any minor problems were easily dealt with by a simple discussion of the options.We could not be more happy with the outcome and highly recommend using Iconic Building Solutions for any of your construction needs.

Iconic turned our 2-bed, 1-bath house into a 3-bed, 2-bath house, which has been life-changing. The new master bedroom is spacious and beautiful, with big windows, a high ceiling and enough floor space for workouts. The new bathroom is well designed and beautifully fitted out, like a private rainforest getaway. (We feel a bit like we're living in a 5-star hotel.)With the assistance of some hardworking tradies, Iconic also transformed the rest of our house, removing unnecessary walls to create an open plan kitchen, redoing the floors, ceilings, doors, windows, curtains, adding ducted heating and cooling, and probably other things I'm forgetting.Greg, Steve and their team were terrific as they guided us through the process, from the idea stage all the way to completion. They were friendly, clear, and open to making adjustments and addressing concerns along the way.They offered to work around us, but also said that the extension would progress faster if we weren't living there, and they were right - despite the pandemic, it only took four months between when we left our old house to when we moved back into the new, bigger version. (We subsequently asked for their help in adding a kitchenette to the home office in our garage.) All up, the project cost about $250k, which was beyond our initial budget but is great value for the quality of the work, and we've recommended Iconic to several friends.

We went for Greg and Steve to build our renovation as they seemed trustworthy and switched on. The build itself turned out as we wanted but unfortunately it was not a nice process. This does not reflect on Greg but with many trades going through and no direct oversight unfortunate things occurred. We had neighbours abused and threatened after they asked roofers not to throw rubbish on their car. The roofer advised he would come and blow their car up. We had a hole punched or kicked into a toilet door which was not part of the reno which has to be replaced. Other parts of the house which were not part of the reno were nicked, scuffed or had paint taken off. One of the trades sawed directly into the existing floor causing the entire downstairs floor to be replaced despite it being in near new condition. Even though this was not due to us we were asked to contribute to the cost and the delay if two weeks for the floor to reach Canberra.The neighbours yard was used without their consultation for scaffolding which blocked their car access. When they complained abuse was received from the scaffolding company.The plasterer was fantastic however at one stage was not able to work so other contractors were brought in. Their work then had to be rectified by the normal plasterer.The worst part was a number of electrical items valued at over $2000 were stolen. These were in boxes and not in plain site. It meant someone had gone through our packed up items while we were not here.To top it all off, a ceiling fan/light that worked fine before the reno no longer worked as there was no power going to the ceiling. Some work had been done near this which may or may not have caused the problem but they were not interested in coming back to look.

We have used Greg and Steve for both of our extensions which have turned our house from a 3 bedroom 1970s home to a modern 5 bedroom home with large outdoor entertaining areas. On both occasions Greg and Steve were very professional keeping the house and site clean throughout the process. The workmanship was high quality with the first extension 9 years on still looking like it is new! Highly recommend their services for any project.

We have worked with Greg and Steve on several small and medium projects over 10 years, including the installation of double glazed windows, a tricky install of insulation under a large flat roof and the renovation of our main bathroom and laundry area. They have always been prompt, listened to our needs and delivered on time and to budget.
