Great place to stop and drop into. The ladies were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make contact with someone in the area who could help us with family history research. Love the handicrafts too. Thank you again ladies!

Sweet country tea rooms next to a park and public toilets.A perfect place to stop while travelling! The former Magistrates Office of the National Trust listed CourtHouse is the peaceful setting for delicious lunch or snack, right next to the Rest Area and Public Toilets. Some historic information is displayed for your interest, both inside the Tea Room and in a shelter outside.Reasonable prices and freshly prepared yummy food. When I ordered the Devonshire Tea I was offered a choice of Teas. The leaf tea is served in a teapot with a strainer, and not only a jug of milk but also a pot of hot water, so that you can make your tea exactly as you like it.Order at the craft shop in the first room, as you browse their surprisingly fabulous range of handcrafts, including a range of funny and sweet novelty items as gifts for $2.50. (Get your panic button, belly button cleaner and sweet messages for distant friends here!) Perfect grubb roses on towels and baby singlets made me wish I knew a baby to gift them to!Noteworthy items include jewellery, bookmarks and handmade porcelain dolls, as well as some knitting and crochet, among the wide range of handcrafted goods. There are also second hand books. Some items are labelled as fundraisers for various charities, and other items are sold by the artists through this Arts and Crafts Cooperative. What a wonderful community!Photos: Front Entry;Devonshire Tea and Menu at one of 4 tables for 4;The Sock Savers from the gift shop were perfect for keeping burrs out of my socks while I walked in the countryside the next day.

Great jams, sauces and conserves, locally knitted jumpers, baby gear and more. Scones jam and cream is superb and there's a nice selection of books for sale. Court house in original condition is interesting too
