Back O Bourke Motel-Accommodation

Over priced only one cup have between upto 5 people towels had frayed edges signs up saying to conserve water but didn't have water efficient shower head and had to go back in to Bourke to book room was a complete stuff around but atleast it was a bed

Excellent customer service. Rooms were tidy and warm when we arrived. Bed was comfortable. We had a very relaxing sleep after a long drive. Highly recommended to every one.

What do you get for $140/night? No internet, It’s been playing up a bit. Only one cup per room and one plate. A door that has a one centimeter gap when closed to give the mozzies a chance. A floor so crooked you feel drunk walking around the room. An air conditioner that roars away like a v8 Mack with no mufflers. And lastly, the cleaning crew servicing the room next door at 6am , just in case you might sleep in. Avoid at all cost.

Self contained apartments /hotel rooms great for workers with medium size fridge and a sink and microwave with silverware and plates bowls etc plenty of room to park trucks etc air con that works have been in both hot and cold weather and keeps the room nice

Avoid if possible. Trying to understand low English speakers is hard enough face to face let alone over the phone. There is no reception it is off site so you have to use the phone. Enter the confusion. First night the motel room was not too bad. Checkout is 1000, come 0800 low English cleaners start hanging around the room. Booked the next two nights in the two bedroom unit at $200 a night. This one not so good. Everything smelled of dust there were cobwebs and spiders everywhere ( it did provide entertainment when the big blow fly got stuck in the spiders web and the spider proceeded to wrap it up and have his dinner), There was a pile of dirt between the bedrooms, the toilet had the odour of sewerage seeping in from the outside. There was somebody’s car and camper van in the attached garage and someone living in the caravan in the shed packed with junk to the rear. The real fun came when whilst away off site the next day we find out we actually didn’t have two nights we only had one. All of our stuff was bundled up into bags except the drink in the fridge and shifted to the Château. The Château is Atco hut with two single beds per room 5 rooms 1 kitchen 2 showers two toilets. Last seen paint in 1953 and the once grey, now grey-brown carpet, browny white lace curtain with pale pink brown blinds pays homage to a history I would not recommend you become a part of.

Room had terrible smell, looking at the bedlinen it felt like we were in a 1970's backpackers in Mumbai, stains all over, no cups were supplied to make coffee?? Bad pillows for a $170 a night, probably ok for road/mine workers, disgusting

Well what a story here. Our group rang up and booked 12 rooms , when we arrived we were greeted with a phone number to ring. No reception, no office just a number. Over the phone I ask what 4 rooms were mine that I had booked, was told that I had only 3. Some of the group had rooms not made up, one was put in a share room, not what they had booked. I asked how were we to pay, they said over the phone, I suggested they needed to get someone over here to sort the mess out or they were not getting paid. In the long run the rooms were suitable but will hesitate to go back.

This motel was not very clean and I have strong doubts the sheets were changed on our bed!!!We booked here while travelling through and booked as it advertised WiFi and Austar. We had kids with us and needed to do some work so required internet access. The password for the WiFi was incorrect and they could not fix this and there is no Austar so this was just false advertising. The room cost $180 for the night so it was not the cheapest stop and certainly was not worth the money. The lino was cracked a lifting, the toilet roll holder had fallen off and was on floor when we arrived, the whole room needed a good clean and refurbishment. When we moved one of the beds the kids were in there was all rubbish and wrappers under the bed.All in all we travel A LOT and this was overpriced and to be honest I would not stay here again if it were $20 a night!
