Very talented chef and lovely atmosphere. Food is thoughtful and authentic. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. It wasn’t our favourite Japanese food, but that’s more personal preference.

Compliments to the chef! An exquisite menu with classic ingredients but innovative flavours. Special mention to the pear and pork dish..yum. 6 course is a must! Small and intimate so not good for groups but great for couples. Also love the open kitchen. No cocktails but nice sake pairings.

A beautiful dining experience in an intimate restaurant. Service was perfect. We had the 6 course with sake pairing and each dish was exquisite. My favourites were the beef main and pork jowl. Each sake was unique and complemented the dishes well. Would highly recommend for a special dinner!

We enjoyed our dinner, but it did not meet the expectations of the refinement that was implied by the price point ($130 for 7 courses). I liked the presentation and the flavours of the various components of the dishes, but the main protein ingredient wasn't always as good as it could and should be. The mackerel, tuna, whiting and beef were a few steps separated from perfect. Service was good, fast and informative.

Our favourite restaurant in Noosa! Another outstanding dinner last night. Some very creative and delicious uses of ingredients including broccolini and Brussel sprouts.

We had the 6 course meal. There was a lot of food, and we were so full when the dessert came. Most the dishes were good, some were great. Great service. Overall a very enjoyable meal.The main, however, was a bit disappointing. We had both the kingfish and the beef. The protein was cooked perfectly but the rice was too wet and bland, and the salad and miso soup didn't taste like much either.Very good and authentic Japanese food (despite not having any japanese person in the kitchen). Would recommend.

Just wonderful, I don't have the words, definitely the best place at Noosa to have a really nice experience. The service is perfect, the food perfect as well. I recommend it.

We had the most exceptional experience at Sumi for dinner. The food was so delicious, we loved every course and the presentation was incredible. It was cool to watch the chefs in action and how everything flowed effortlessly, making for a great dining experience. Will be back!
