CAVANA HOT WATER - Hot water emergency service, repairs, installations

I wanted a quote on changing my storage hot water service to continuous hot water. the guy that came out to give me a quote basically called me stupid for wanting to do that and quoted me on a storage hot water unit. I then spoke to them another 2 times to get a quote and nothing.I would not use these guys. they can't even quote on what I asked for.

Was a little hesitant before calling these guys after reading the previous reviews but had to go through them because I bought my hot water unit through Bunnings and they are the contractors. In the end great service from start to finish. Couldn't recommend these guys enough and Dux hot water tank turned around and installed within 48 hours from purchase

Had a hot water system replaced through Cavana plumbing/Bunnings. They were on time, did the job quickly, cleaned up and explained everything.If I needed plumbing again I certainly would consider using them again.

Would choose half a star if I could, useless workers. Had a worker come out to install a new hot water system, found it too difficult and ran away, can't trust them, this company and its workers are horrible and can't do anything right.

These guys can’t be trusted, they installed solar hot water system a few years back and as I had issues recently I called electrician only to find out that the solar was never hooked in at the electrical board so have only ever been using off peak and paying for my heating, a normal person would not realise this until electrician checked out my electrical board. They supplied the original electrician and god only knows if their electrician is even licensed.

Had an off peak hot water installed in Jan 2018 by Cavana Plumbing via the Bunnings/Dux connect program ln Mittagong, Cavana are the contracted installers in the Southern Highlands. On the morning of June 25th 2018 at 04.45am I am trying to turn off the stopcock under a shower of cold water in sub zero temperatures because the installer had not installed a $4.50 brass elbow with nylon compression ring correctly. (Pipe too short thus under constant pressure, only a matter of time.) Come sun up I dutifully call Dux Connect to get someone to repair, they inform Cavana of Warranty call, who call me, someone will visit next day, (24 hours without hot water in winter!) between 7am and 10am. Already missed one day of work due to the need to clean up the water damage, so go down to local plumbing coop and buy a new compression ring and decline the service call.Leave up to you, the person searching for a plumber whether you will call Cavana.

Organised to leave a key for the plumber to change our hot water system. Job was not done. When I called the office I was told that they can not enter a property without anyone being present, despite being told the opposite when the job was booked in. Booked the job in two days later, was told it would be the first job in the morning between 9am and midday. Called at 9:30am to find out where they were and were told they were coming between midday and 2pm as they had another job beforehand. Asked to speak to a manager as it sounded like I was being stuffed around. Was told he would call back, still waiting for the plumber and the manager. The communication and organisation of this business is terrible, I can’t comment on the quality of the work as it’s been a week without any hot water and the job still isn’t done.

BAD! RUDE! and UNPROFESSIONAL!. so we bought a hot water system from them 3 years from them (the unit is still under warranty).. last night the tank started to leak.. so we called them back around 6pm a guy answered the phone with CALL ME BACK IN HALF AN HOUR IM HAVING MY DINNER NOW"..Seriously who says that without hello how can I help you!!any way we called him back after half an hour and he said he will send someone to have a look at it in the morning.. so I had to take a day off work to wait for the plumber.. however when the plumber came in the morning and looked at it he refused to touch it because apparently they are not allowed to touch the brand that we bought from them! and he didn't tell us over the phone as well! so he wasted my time for nothing!!I recommend this compony to do some kind communication with customer course!!"

BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as their plumbers and staff are rude, obnoxious and not to mention they are THIEVES. They came to repair the hot system at our house and after a disagreement regarding payment, the plumber stole our water metre without our knowledge leaving us without any water.

I cannot recommend Cavana Hot Water enough. I called them when my hot water turned off and I could not believe how fast my call was actioned. They arrived and my house and solved the issue all within a few hours. Thanks team!
