Would like to see another Federation in Adelaide so that I can study with them. I was a member of my Dog Training Club for over 10 years with my Mini Schnauzers. Half way through the training sesson, they have asked me to join them in the teaching of Grade 1's or 2's. I have declined because I wasn't qualified as a teacher. So,that would mean I would have to study very hard to get my Qualification as a Teacher. That would mean also,I could travel interstate & stay somewhere close to the College/School. That would cost me as a Student alot of money. So that would be out of the question! Try & live in Adelaide with little money.

I have never experienced a level of incompetence like this course. The information is out of date, they will do anything to make you pay more money, they offer courses and then don’t deliver them and blatantly lie about what they do. I also witnessed a student bullied out of the course and the learning environment is the opposite of safe. I highly recommend that you save your money.

They've not returned my calls. Was told July course cancelled due to Covid, now informed I'm not in October course either.

They don't reply to emails, teachers don't send feedback documents in a timely manner so you cant resubmit your assignments, in the end, after being delayed for months at a time before hearing anything, you get told through a generic email you only get 2 NYS before you are deemed failed". After this time you have to pay to extend. On top of this

Thoroughly disappointed with this course and how it was delivered. Assessors have egos and are biased to their own training approaches. God help you if you require this qualification.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I recently completed my Certificate with NDTF. The calibre of the trainers is very high and each brings their own unique experience and expertise to the course. Block trainings were run well and allowed flexibility to suit the needs of the students. Jess and Bob went out of their way to answer questions and help with any problems students were having. They seemed to really want the students to succeed. The course materials and content are relevant and current, and include a range of techniques and training philosophies that leave room for students to form their own opinions. The administration of the course was excellent, and the course coordinator always responded to correspondence in a timely manner and went above and beyond to help when I needed. This course provides a good foundation for any aspiring dog trainer. I gained valuable insight and knowledge from this course and have completed the course with new and valuable skills. I highly recommend this course.

This is a very unprofessional course. I have recently concluded this course and have been baffled by the unprofessionalism and the unsafe learning environment. Do not waste your money on this course, it does not deserve its accreditation. (btw, there are more accredited courses to become a dog trainer in Australia, the information on the website is false). The teachers of this course are extremely unproffessional. There was a very clear outline of subjects the students received at the start of the course however the teachers generally had no clue what subject they were teaching that day and would just make up anything they think of to talk about. This made the course extremely unstructured and it meant that several subjects were never addressed and that some subjects have been addressed several times.Besides this, in general the teachers were not really invested in their role in general. For example, one teacher used her classroom time to e-mail her clients (external from the NDTF course) and would discuss with the students how she should phrase her e-mails. She would also use us to help herparticpate as distractions for her dogs in clips she would use to get her dogs roles in films. This has nothing to do with training a dog whatsoever and was just used to benefit her own career.Perhaps the only teacher who had some actuall knowledge on dog training was an ex-military man who was incredibly emotional/aggressive. This man would yell at students several times for asking, what he perceived to be, dumb questions. And would even yell at students for making small mistakes, like flicking lightswitchwes the wrong" way.Besides teacher being unprofessional

They only think how to get more money from you. If you want to learn about dog training, go to a obedience training club in your local area until your dog get level 6. That's much better option. You can't learning what you need to. All my class mate learnt from YouTube, other trainers and class mate. Don't waste of time and money!! This is absolutely awful school.

I completed my cert III in 2016. Thoroughly enjoyed the course & learning from the various instructors. Gives an excellent foundation in learning theory, practical training & in an unbiased way.
