I was disappointed and infuriated to hear that Jeanie was told by this rude and arrogant man - John at Major Art that after spending hours and hours painting her story that I use inferior & cheap products! For the record John all of my products a sought from Eskerleys Art Supplies!!I will not be recommending John to any of my customers in my growing business! Call me for the contacts for a polite, respectful and professional framing Service not this rubbish!!!

So impressed with the quality of workmanship and swift turnaround. I dropped off a very large 1400mm x 1000mm print to get framed (a week from Christmas) and it was ready for collection the very next day. I called several framing stores who told me they couldn’t frame it this side of Christmas due to the size of it and quoted me $200-$300 more than what I was charged at Major Art. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely rude, unwelcoming, arrogant person.i believe he is the owner and the artist as well. We were prepared to buy one of his paintings but he seems to be looking down on us, mentioning the price every time we look at paintings. Looking at us from head to toe. We just left as he looks like he does not want our business. Good luck to other people who visit this store and I hope you don't experience the same thing.

John did a great framing job on my Done print, great quote (I checked around), fast service, highly informative and very easy to deal with.It's a family run local business, convenient location and there is a nice gallery of major works and prints of great Australia artists that's definitely worth the look, even if you are not having framing done. You have to see the latest Bromley's, they're amazing, and a great investment!I had many questions about my framing job, and art investment in general, but John took the time, over 1/2 hr, to explain and go into detail with a wide range of topics covering the art world from a down to earth point of view that I could understand and then expand on with my own further research. I could not have asked for better service, and that was while he was doing a framing job and serving another customer, so appears to work well under pressure if you want things done fast, lol.I personally highly recommend MajorArt and John A+, and I'm not easy to please.

We had two pictures framed at Supercheap framing around 5 years ago and the results were great. I still have them in my house. So when it came to have two more done just recently it didn't occur to me to go anywhere else. John was extremely knowledgeable , he really listened to what it was and what I wanted and together we achieved a perfect result. I will go there again and wouldn't hesitate recommending this place to anyone who wants quality framing and friendly service and super cheap.Thanks a lot

John was really friendly and helpful and cheap. I will not be going anywhere else if I need work done on the Gold Coast. Had some canvases stretched and one framed, and he did everything but hang the picture for me, with little tips and tricks - from making the canvases look their best to hanging them. He was substantially cheaper then the competition and much faster getting everything done within a few hours instead of the 10 days I was quoted at other stores. Thanks a lot John

This is the defect from the wood that we were left with on our frame. John refused to take any responsibility when we politely informed him on day of collection, and in fact he then blamed us! It's been verified as wood defect. He was malicious in his text replies and response with us. Stay away.

I went to John with 88 tickets from sporting and entertaining events and he delivered a masterpiece. The effort that he put into framing these tickets was simply incredible. Quality and fair pricing is an absolute guarantee. John is one of the best in the business and puts a genuine interest into each piece of work that you present him with. His intuition also ensured that some Aboriginal paintings we had were also framed to perfection. Couldn't recommend anyone better and will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks John.

Visited on the Wednesday afternoon, requested framing of Manchester united shirt. within 24 hours the job was complete above expectations Service was impeccable price was fair and reasonable and the owner was a pleasure to work with giving great advice. Ron Bayley

Prior to dropping my original piece off, I called twice for a quote. Given the oversize frame would not fit in my small car I also arranged transport. When I got to the store, John said my job would now be $50 more than quoted. When I queried this he told me that’s what it is and I could take it elsewhere if I wasn’t happy. I decided to stay with him given I had already arranged alternate transport.A few days later I chased him up and he told me he had been sick and would make my job at priority. Few hours later I was told the framing had been done so I again arranged alternate transport. When I arrived John proceeded to tell me how my artist had used inferior products and the frame wasn’t straight. I got the piece home and when I went to hang it, the D rings on the back where at different heights one was 29 cm and the other was 31 cm. The situation was rectified and I sent John a text informing him of the error and that given his experience and the amount of money he charged I hoped that this would not happen to another customer.At 12:11am on a Saturday morning John sent this response “Sometimes a slip up can happen ....I don't think everyone is perfect, in any case its easy to adjust....and my pricing is very fair thank you.“When I requested a receipt for my cash, John wrote paid on his carbon copy of hand written receipt and told me “ you were given a receipt“ referring to the docket he gave me when I dropped the piece off.I found John to be arrogant, rude when referring to my artist and having no customer service skills when it comes to someone who told me on no less than 3 occasions how he’s been in business for 31 years.Just be nice John and if someone goes to the trouble of giving you feedback, perhaps be open to receiving it and making a better business for yourself. If you quote somebody on the phone, it would be nice if you were a man of your word and followed it up rather than trying to take advantage of people. This is the first time ever I have felt compelled to write a review.
