Maha East
I've been to Maha in the city and loved it so I had high expectations for Maha East. It was a cold night but the atmosphere inside was cosy and bustling. We had a group of 6 with consisting of 2 vegans, 2 vegetarians, and 2 meat eaters. It was amazing how they still made it work for us. All the courses were unique and bursting with flavour. The staff were attentive and took the time to explain the different dishes and checked if we were enjoying ourselves. I would definitely take other friends for a special meal here in the near future.

Wow what a place! We had 30 minutes to eat dinner before a show at The Astor Theatre. The team were So very accommodating! And blitzed! Best dinner ever! We must return when we can do a banquet ! U gotta try the Taramasalata filled balls first. Everything is Devine. Thanx team! Thanx chefs for being so prompt and able to help us!

Walk in and you'll be transported.Beautiful, comfortable and sophisticated interior. Relaxed mood with small floral and candle arrangements throughout the dining space.Staff are friendly and informative with perfect timing.Food is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Fresh and colourful with layers of flavours catering to plant-based vegan. A journey to remember.

beautiful ambience, exceptional service, and even better quality food at Maha East. I personally prefer this over the cbd location, a little more relaxed, bigger portions and just as tasty. cosy restuarant with a dimply lit, long bar which makes the dining experience that much more entertaining. waiters were veryyyy attentive, likely specially trained, attending to us often, explaining menu items thoroughly, and setting down/picking up plates with elegance! as for the food...wow. do not skip the hummus and flatbread, its a must and honestly pairs so well with ANY of the other entrees. the turkish dumplings were a delight, so much effort and so tasty! pulled lamb fell off the phone, and donuts were the perfect sweet ending. so full we had to take some home esp with the sides included in the set menu - and that wasnt even the 4 course! a must visit for some seriously good and generous mediterranean food.

One of the three Maha locations, Maha East is relatively smaller with a casual vibe; menu has both ala carte and set menu. Dined at the bar and had the Soufra set menu with the snacks upgrade and also ordered a few other snacks from the ala carte:- Snacks were very good for the most part; scallop was fresh, citrusy and garlicky; wagyu croquette was crisp outside, savory and cheesy; fried bourek buns had a soft doughy texture with flavourful toppings. Chicken wing was tasty as well, meat was just a little dry- Meze; grilled iraqi flat bread was flaky outside with a nice spice and herb seasoning, goes well with the creamy hummus containing spiced chicken & mushrooms; savory and nutty. Cured kingfish was very good with the slight charred tasted on the edges, paired with some tangy sweet pickled vegetables. Also ordered the Kataifi wrapped prawns which was very crunchy with a sweet honey sauce- Main comes with slow roasted lamb shoulder, Turkish beef dumplings and a side of seasonal leaf salad and aged rice pilaf. Dumplings had a nice chewy texture, with a tangy garlic yoghurt; taste pretty good but a little too sour for me. The lamb shoulder was very tender with a little crisp on the edges of the meat, covered with a creamy savory spice sauce; very delicious- Asked the staff and they were ok to swap the dessert to the milk chocolate parfait, which was airy and creamy like mousse covered with a dark chocolate ganache and topped with tahini caramel, very tasty and surprisingly not too sweet. The cardamon flavour of the ice cream was subtle but it was creamy and refreshingOverall food was very flavourful and delicious; enjoyed most of the dishes, menu is reasonably priced and service was great.

I have dined at both Maha and Maha East once. This place was more intimate due to its smaller size. Food was tasty. The chicken meal was very generous in portion size. In the end we were both too full to try dessert.The lady who waited on us was lovely. Happy to return as a treat once a year or so, as prices are a bit on the higher end. Parking can be difficult as expected in the area.
