Herberton Range National Park, Herberton Range Conservation Park, Herberton Range State Forest and Baldy Mountain Forest Reserve | Parks and forests | Department of Environment and Science, Queensland | Endangered wet sclerophyll forest, open forest and high altitude rainforest are protected in these parks, forest and reserve. Ride the trails of the Atherton Forest Mountain Bike Park, walk to the summit of Mount Baldy, drive the Herberton Range ridge road or ride horses through the conservation park. The area is home to many unique animals and plants and parts are protected in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.

Most of the hike is pretty steep but once you reach the top it's all worth it, I reached the top when there was a sunset was perfect. There's a book for you to write your name in aswell!

Track well kept and easy to follow. Took kids ranging from 6 to 13 and all made it the top under their own steam. Once at the top the view is great. Allow 2 hrs with kids which is plenty of time. To not rush and enjoy

Great walk, If your looking for a challanging hike, it's a great way to see Atherton from a birds eye view at dawn, just take some bug spray in your kit to keep the mozzies at bay.

A great hike. Quite steep and long! The view at the top wasn't the greatest of views but a view nonetheless. The visitor book at the top was a good idea!

Mount Baldy and surrounds network of trails offers some of the best views in and around Atherton. The tracks, graded from 3-5, represent challenge levels for every type of hiker and walker. The track has recently been upgraded to accommodate erosion and increased use. Highly recommended for anyone keen to burn some calories and get some views. If you need another reason, this trail network offers several different ecosystems to traverse including a pristine rain forest section.
