Tora Sumi Tattoo - Sydney

Got my second tattoo done here and what a great experience. Matt did an absolutely amazing job, captured so much detail in the design I chose. Very skilled tattoo artist and highly recommended.Had a 5 hour sitting and it flew by, made me feel relaxed, enjoyed the experience.

I’ve been here to see Eduardo a few times now and will happily return many more!! I went to him for my first big tattoo in August 22, exactly what I asked for is exactly what he drew! A beautiful watercolour artwork of my bird. He was lovely and accommodating and the cleanliness of the place is also very comforting! My bird healed quickly and better than any tattoo I’ve ever had, it is my favourite tattoo and I always show everyone! I went back again to get a different tattoo (done at a different shop) re-worked and he made it look stunning and exactly how I wanted it to look in the first place. Now I can proudly wear it around! (I’ll never get an impulse on the spot tattoo again lol). It is a bit of a trek for me to get to this place but I’d gladly make the time and effort to get here as I am so pleased with the work he has done for me! Thanks again!!! Hopefully I’ll be back soon! :)

Highly rate this tattoo studio and artist Eduardo!! I live 8 hours away from Tora Sumi but saw Eduardo's work online and was amazed in his watercolour tattoo style. Bec and Kahli made it so easy to organise my tattoo and discuss my design ideas with Eduardo from afar. It was great to have things spoken off before I came to Sydney for my consultation. I had previous scaring which made my tattoo quite difficult with placement. Eduardo worked with me for the position I really wanted even though there were concerns of how the ink would take because of the scars. My eucalyptus branch with kids names turned out fantastic, the colour and fine lines are better then I could have imagined. True piece of art. One of my best healing tattoos as well, had no colour fall out even on my deep scars it's kept perfectly. Very happy and highly recommend his work and this clean and welcoming tattoo studio. I shared a special connection with Eduardo and feel privileged to have this piece of my arm. It was a wonderful experience and will be going back to get my next tattoo done with him there!

I got a watercolour style tattoo of a glossy black cockatoo, with splashes and a branch. This was my first tattoo. I highly recommend Tora Sumi and Eduardo Tavares, and I am extremely happy with the tattoo.Eduardo is a true artist and master of his craft. He seems to be a man of few words, but listens to you attentively, and quickly proposes something that will work. He made a beautiful design for me, based on my idea and a few reference pictures. We changed a few things on the day, like slight placement, some dots, a few splashes colour.The shop is very clean and welcoming. I thought the price was good ($1200) for the design, full day of tattooing, and generally the uniqueness and beauty of the art, and professionalism and skill of the artist.I feel a connection to black cockatoos, and I am very happy to have one on my forearm now. Highly recommend Eduardo for watercolour and fine line tattoos.

I just had the first session out of multiple done by Vicky and I am extremely happy with the quality of the tattoo. The linework and the detail was immaculate. Plus she's just a lovely person as well. I highly recommend a tattoo with her in the future

Such a lovely studio filled with lovely and super talented people. From the moment I put through my enquiry, I was met with nothing but kindness and professionalism. I had previously spoken to 2 other tattoo artists at different studios (not Tora Sumi) and I ended up having a consultation with Eduardo.This tattoo was really important to me for personal reasons and I wanted very specific components and colours in the design. Eduardo was incredibly kind, patient and took the time to listen to my ideas, whereas my experience with the other artists was very different.I booked Eduardo and had the tattoo done 3 weeks later. We went through the design together on the day and made some tweaks, but it was otherwise perfect and he was so accommodating and understanding. The whole thing took a few hours and I was blown away by the result.I was given second skin as part of the after care. It was my first experience with it and I wasn't a huge fan, but they also do cling wrap from what I saw, so you can also opt for that if you want.I can't thank Eduardo enough for this amazing piece and bringing this idea to life. He is an amazing artist!The studio itself is really clean and everyone is really lovely and friendly. Their process is to pay $100 booking fee, which comes off the total amount of your tattoo. They sent a reminder text a week or so before the appointment and they were very transparent and honest about their policy (e.g. if you reschedule late or do a no-show etc.). You pay the remaining amount on the day and they accept cash or card (note card attracts a surcharge, as most places also do).I would highly recommend Eduardo and Tora Sumi! @Peque over 6 hours tattoed a beautiful and intricate tattoo of the final fantasy XV bard, super stoked and healing up beautifully. He is a master tattooist and would recommend for intricate and colour tats, beyond happy with his original take on the design and execution of the work

I popped my tattoo cherry earlier this week at Tora Sumi with the very lovely Vicky.She was very helpful and patient with me while making design decisions, made sure I was comfortable and feeling at ease. All of the staff were very friendly, the studio was clean, comfortable and welcoming.I am very happy with my tattoo and will be back!
