Southern Cross Funerals (Engadine)

I have been very lucky to meet Matthew from Southern Cross Funerals. He officiated at my son's and husband's funerals and made each day so special. He goes above and beyond in caring with every detail attended to and making a very sad occasion memorable. He deserves five stars.

I couldn’t think of a more caring, attention to detail, supportive company. As someone who is in the funeral industry I can confidently say Southern Cross is the best there is. Matt took care of my Nan with so much love and care, he made the entire process so much easier during such a hard time. I am forever grateful I got to give my nan the best send off with the support of Matt and the team at Southern Cross. Every mourner commented on how perfectly beautiful the service was and I couldn’t be more thankful that I chose Southern Cross.

It was a very difficult and emotional day when I had to bury my mum and right from the very start the Southern Cross Team and Matthew made it less painful. They listened to our needs, offered advice that was very beneficial. On the day Matthew did the service with grace, understanding and empathy that I needed to get me through the day. I would highly recommend them to ease the burden of the arranging, planning and execution of a very difficult time. I am so glad I picked them.

Losing someone is extremely hard and debilitating. You can’t think straight and the best thing is to have someone step in and take away your worries and take control. I could not have asked for a more compassionate man than Matt to do this for us for the funeral for my brother. From the moment I contacted him when we knew my brother didnt have long to live Matt was a blessing even checking in on us after the funeral. Matt stepped in and took all our worries away. I felt like I knew him forever and it felt like organising a funeral with family. When my young nephews were distraught just before the funeral began, Matt sat on the floor in front of them to comfort them. That is something that I will never forget. I have sadly had to organise a lot of funerals lately but this my first with Southern Cross. Their service does not compare to any other. I can not recommend them enough. Thank you Matt and staff for making this so much easier.
