Quite sad when you drive 10 minutes to your favourite local fish & chip shop & walk through the door at 2.10 to be told that, although they are open until 2.30 that they really close at 2 because that's when they turn their grill off?? (I am gluten free)So drove all the way home again to some dissapointed kids (and Mum).Oh well, that 30 minutes just lost a at least $80 from our possible order today........ and 30 minute round trip for nothing.

Can I say this is the BEST fish and chips we have ever had! We had the fresh snappergrilled with garlic butter cooked to perfection! I normally find grilled fish is often overcooked and dry but not here! The kale and cous cous salad was so fresh. Chips crunchy and fresh! We will certainly be back and worth the drive!

We spent a lovely balmy evening dining under the fairy lights and overlooking the beautiful lilyponds. The grilled barramundi was delicious, as was the plentiful Greek salad. The service was friendly and efficient. A great experience!

Just stopped by this place on the way home from a day out. What a lovely atmosphere, kindest staff and great service. The lady that served us helped entertain our little baby daughter so we could eat and the burgers were absolutely DELICIOUS! We’ll be driving this way more often and will recommend to others. Thanks again.

Very disappointing. Ordered takeaway and watched them hand my order to someone else. He opened it and returned it to the counter once he realised it wasn’t his, and then I watched them close the packet and call my name. The selection of fish was very limited but understandable considering the volume of customers one would receive in Mapleton. The fish (barramundi) I did order was overcooked, the potato scallops were great, but the tasty chips were a very small serve for $8. Although there have been many great reviews (and maybe we were just unlucky), I doubt we’ll be back for fish and chips. Apparently the burgers are awesome … maybe we need to give that a try next time.
