Mt Clear Take-away fish and chips

My personal favorite has to be the lamb souvlaki's but I haven't had any complaints about any of the other food either always hot fresh and a joy to eat.The owners are always lovely and ready with a smile. Fantastic customer services and wouldn't change a thing. Even if paying only with cash only can be a little tricky sometimes.

pretty good overall except for this one guy who is always there, older, short grey hair and got a stomach on him. He kept checking my chips every 5 seconds to check if they were ready and pulled them out soon after leaving me with undercooked chips (he obviously just didn’t want to wait for them to be cooked properly). Not the first bad encounter with him either, last time i came my chips were saturated in oil to the point neither me or any of my family could eat them.

Had fish , potatoe cakes, dim sim, and steak burger , for tea tonight. All over cooked and dried out , waste money , won't be back.

I'm not sure if the owners have changed, or we just got the last minute left overs. But we had fish, dim sims, chips from here tonight and it was all over cooked and very unpleasant. I couldn't eat it.

The best steak sandwich and chicken burgers I've had!Sooooo delicious!

A good Greek Style" Fish and Chip shop

Nice chips but fish was paper thin rubber in awful batter as were the potato cakes. Hamburger was ok only. I would not return despite living close by.

Used to be amazing but recently the minimum chips is bad . $4 worth of chips is a little more than a handful. I rang and asked and the excuse was chips have doubled in price ... didn't know potatos where that expensive.You have lost a frequent customer for life

Worse I have ever had. No lemon and the grilled fish was just frozen battered fish they put on the grill. Disgusting

We read the reviews and were skeptical but took the chance since it was so close to our accommodation. Bad move! Food was not cooked properly. Potato cake still had a half frozen taste to it. Fish was super thin and not sure what type it was but nothing like the fish bites I've ever tasted before at any other shop. Chips undercooked too. Had to attempt to eat souvlaki with cutlery since pita was so soggy that it feel apart as soon as it was opened. Meat was over seasoned to the point it was spicy. Some may think that's great but definitely not for me. Lucky we bought snacks at the IGA next door as I think we will be needing them. All in all, the only thing we purchased from there that was good was a bottle of coke.
