I booked an appointment, spur of the moment, treat myself. The person who took my booking, whom I knew of, gave me a time and the impression she would be doing my hair. Not so, I got some lass who seemed very uninterested in seeing a picture. She didn't want conversation. Cut was OK, had to ask for directions, not great, but she couldn't blow wave at all, she was getting frustrated with it, had to get help from the apprentice. My hair looked horrible but all the other styling crew stood around at the counter talking, not interested in helping her. Train your staff on basic blow wave. $79 tolook revolting. Never again!

Absolutely delighted with my transformation from brassy blonde to a ashy blonde dream colour by Maleena. I've tried a lot of hairdressers in Cairns to get the look I'm after and I'm so happy to have found a stylist who gets it perfect every time. Highly recommended.

I went in for a full colour makeover/correction. (My hair was a bit of a mess with multiple colours).Latiah did an amazing job, she was very talented and the end result is fantastic.I would highly recommend this salon.

I had an awful experience at this salon.I booked a cut and colour with a stylist who had done my hair on my previous visit and had done a great job. I asked for the same as last time, she had the colour, etc, recorded on their computer.My hair turned out deep vibrant purple, not the silver lilac it was supposed to be. It was shocking. The ladies set to work trying to strip the colour out, they did it twice but it was still very purple. I didn't get angry or abuse anyone but I wasn't happy.But then, I asked what about the hair cut? I was told that because I wasn't happy with the colour they felt I would be unhappy with a cut so they wouldn't be doing it.So now I have purple hair, no hair cut, no eyebrow wax and Tintaldra it cost me $187 for the privilege.They made me feel like it was somehow my fault and, no apologies or any suggestions to fix this.A lot of people have heard this story now, when I arrived at work I was greeted with OMG, what happened t your hair? So of co I told the story. They have so far lost 7 regular clients, so there is that I guess.

I would recommend Hairhouse to anyone the girls are friendly and is worth the money. A lot of people comment on the colour of my hair .

Brought my two daughters in yesterday for a trim. Charged me $62 for each of them. When asked if they offered student discounts was also told no. $124 for two trims is crazy, they offered to reduce bulk in one of my girls hair which took a little while but the other one had her hair cut in five minutes. Sadly we won’t be back at I can’t afford that every time they need a trim. I understand for a style cut paying more but for a simple trim really!?

I am always very happy when Maleena has cut my hair. She is friendly, professional and gives good advice without being pushy. I highly recommend her.
