Ken and the team are great to deal with, very knowledgeable and helpful, Ken has put up with several phone calls from me asking technical questions etc, while he was helping me solve a cooling issue, never once brushing me off. Hes actually interested in solving problems, not just selling you something and hoping it works. Much better customer service than most shops in Cairns! Highly recommended!

Great job they did fixing my coolant leak

Excellent service administered by Ken and his team..called him at such short notice to repair a cracked radiator to which he offered to do without hesitation. These guys replaced a tricky fan unit in my Volvo, and also reconditioned a heat exchanger for my yacht. On both counts they did an excellent and timely job. Very friendly, excellent communication and above all I was very comfortable with what both jobs cost, very reasonable. Definitely deserve the 5 star rating.

We took our Landcruiser to Ken at pacific Radiators and wished we hadn't.My wife dropped the car off to get one of their advertised cooling Checks" which consisted of a grump guy looking under the bonnet and saying radiator is old you need a new one ........ very technical ;)We dropped the car off for the radiator replacement and new coolant. We specifically said "RED COOLANT" as its what the car has used all its life and after research we know you can mix the 2 together otherwise they can cause a gel like substance and block up the new radiator and cause damage. Ken the radiator specialist of 30 years said the only difference is the dye they put in.......however Toyota say different and so does Nulon the coolant manufacturer giving this info on their website "RLL(red long life) is dyed its distinct red/orange colour to instantly distinguish its unique chemistry from traditional green coolants. It should not be mixed with other coolants". Obviously they make the stuff so they would know but not if you bring it up with Ken.......Ken knows best !!!So imagine my surprise when a specialist of 30 years installs a radiator and bends a lot of fins after sliding it down the front of the fan......what a bloody rookie....see pic attached and that was AFTER they said they had fixed it........Anyway to make matters worse they filled it with GREEN COOLANT after been emailed and spoken to about RED COOLANT......not really that hard is it ?Ken and I had a bit of a discussion about it on the phone as we had driven 200km round trip to get it fixed. My wife had to take another200km trip with the kids and hang around for 7hrs whilst they fixed their mess.The coolant was changed to red and the bent fins on the radiator look like they have not been touched.I spoke to my Toyota guy back home (we are on holidays up here ) who said "if a radiator and cooling specialist doesn't know the difference between red and green coolant then he is an idiot" now I'm not a genius mechanic by any stretch but I know the difference and the damage that can be done if they are mixed and not flushed through before changing. But its not an overnight change and the damage can be done over time so Im holding my breath and hoping they at least managed to flush the system out so their is no contamination but time will tell. At least I know where they are if it goes pear shaped..... Id advice checking the work once its completed at this place as they obviously don't check their own work."

I blew my radiator at 3pm on a Wednesday.. Contacted Ken and not only did he get me in first thing next morning he a radiator in stock and fitted everything in a few hours and the price was great.. I never write reviews but this small business deserves 6 stars all things considered..Keep up the great work..Mick S..

Recently traveled to Cairns. Before departing home I noticed the radiator surge tank had some sludgy deposits in it and the coolant was discoloured. Nowhere local to have it looked at so on arrival in Cairns I took it to Pacific Radiators. The shop was obviously busy but Ken dropped what he was doing to talk to me and examine the issue. The cooling system needed a thorough clean out which is no small job as it has dual heater cores and a tight engine compartment. I was on a tight time line before continuing our trip but Ken managed to get it in and sorted the next day. A very professional job done carefully and well, in good time and at a fair price. Can’t ask for more than that! Would recommend.
