Launching Place Medical Centre

Some of the doctors are really good. The business has a phone system that puts you on hold automatically and then hangs up on you after 01m10s when no-one is available to answer. I often find large chunks of the day where you can't get your call answered.

Dr Markos, has always been a very caring doctor, she always takes the time to listen, & then prescribe the proper medication. She goes above & beyond for all her patients, I'm so glad & thankful to have found such a great doctor

I know GPs are under a lot of stress due to the pandemic but the waiting times at the clinic are ridiculous. Both Dr Krishna and Dr Marcos are excellent doctors but the clinic needs a practice manager.

I have been going to launching place medical center for 10 years now....The receptionists are always ever so helpful and lovely (phone system definitely needs improving) but I would like to praise Dr Krishna. Dr Krishna is the best GP I have ever seen, I am a 50 year with some complex medical issues and Dr Krishna has shown extreme due diligence, care and precise medical diagnosis. Dr Krishna is one of the most lovely Doctors around, he cares so much for the individual and follows up on everything. Dr Krishna, you are the best, you have improved my quality of life to no end, keep up the great work & please stick around for me and all of your patients!!! Thank you Nick

I think Dr Krishna and Dr Markos are fantastic docters. I've seen both although, Dr Markos is my regular docter. She is very good ,she listens,and always takes appropriate tests if further are needed. The wait times can be a bit long but in recent visits there much better. Complaints about long waits are unrealistic, i waited just as long at many clinics over the years, infact 11 hours on a recent visit to emergancy. However there is a few receptionists there that could well do with some retraining on manners and phone etiquette. Perhaps they should not talk so much. Were there because were sick i dont want to listen to young girls carrying on about trivial things. They sit there whinning about patients, the docters even. Their rude, unhelpful, and one is even nasty at times. The older(mature) ladies are always proffesional ,and helpful. I think the background music is too loud, maybe have some softer easy lisening music, not loud doof doof music, its more obvious when the receptionist lisa and black haired nurse are together. I see there has been a few comments on Lisas behaviour over the years, just an observation as i read through the reviews.

Huge delays every time I have an appointment, waiting for minimum 30 minutes and some cases over an hour. Being rushed out of my appointment by the doctor. Appointment times being shifted without my knowledge and shockingly bad administration in general. Will be finding another clinic to go to.

It's so rare to find a doctor with a caring, respectful and attentive manner and Dr.Markos is one such doctor. She listened, provided options, made recommendations and then respected the choice I made.

I am very happy with my doctor but I’m appalled that the receptionist is working entirely on their own. For this clinic to operate efficiently there needs to be at least 2 receptionists to answer calls (which is unforgiving) reply to emails, faxing/ emailing prescriptions, booking more appointments, dealing with patient abuse. If Work Cover knew what these receptionist’s go through, the owner of this practice would definitely have something to answer for.1 star for overworked receptionist’s5 star for doctors

Rang up first thing last Friday for a referral to get a CT Scan was told by receptionist Doctor was fully booked and unable to either see me or spare the time to provide referral, as I explained to receptionist I had recently had stomach surgery however she seemed uninterested and refused to help. I managed to get a referral elsewhere and had a scan later the same day. turns out I had an enflamed appendix and was advised to go to Emergency Department ASAP. I understand with staff shortages and covid however this clinic needs to re-evaluate how many patient they safely can handle in a day with still leaving time for emergencies.

As a Senior I have experienced many doctors and clinics. None have been comparable to Dr. Evette Markos and the staff of Launching Place Medical Centre. It is my honour and privilege to be a patient of Dr. Markos for many years. Dr. Markos is not only highly professional, but very compassionate and caring. She has wide specialised training and experience on which to call, and is uniquely qualified to bring the highest level of expert medical care to the patient. The patient leaves her clinic feeling they have been treated respectfully as somebody Dr. Markos genuinely wants the very best for their health and welfare. But a clinic is often only as good as those who serve behind the desk. Staff of Launching Place Medical Centre are exceptional: intelligent, attentive, highly professional and caring. Nonmatter how busy, familiar patient or new, you are welcomed with a helpful smile and your needs expedited as smoothly as possible. For me to attend a consultation I must travel one and a half hours one way. There are countless doctors and clinics in my area. But there is only one Dr. Markos, Staff and Launching Place Medical Centre. Five Stars. Neil H. Atkinson
