What a great little place in the scrub. The owners have done such a great job of bringing this old pub back to life. Good food, good staff, good amenities, with a bonus swimming pool, and bath.The sunsets from the front verandsh are stunning. We had the special" for dinner..... barramundi from the gulf....delicious."

We stayed the night in our vans on the grounds of the pub. Wow!! It’s a credit to the new owners. We loved it! Pub looks amazing and the staff are welcoming. We will be back!! Make the stop you will be happy you did.

What a nice surprise to come across this pub on the way back from Karumba. Very clean facilities. Van parked up at the back. Great place for a beer and overnight stay. Got a complimentary Quambybeer. Very nice and friendly staff. Highly Recommended.

A wonderful mix of old and new. Modern meets old-school charm. I haven't lived in the gulf long enough to remember the old pub, but I do remember taking pics when I went through a few years ago and thinking how wonderful it would be to see this place restored. Coincidentally, it was around the same time that someone else had the same idea and made it happen.All I've met that knew the old pub have appreciated what has gone into giving it a new lease of life. When you see the quality of the people that breathed that into this ol' joint, you can easily understand the quality of the work undertaken.A quaint stop off halfway between somewhere and nowhere. For me, it's the kind of pitstop that makes you not want to rejoin the race. So I didn't, and got comprehensively spoilt!Schooners of Quambeer went down a treat, as did my juicy steak sandwich. 3 tired dogs from a long road trip and vet visit were warmly greeted by staff and clientele alike.Well worth the stop!Thank you all!

Such a friendly place and great stop overnight. I had a delicious fish and chips after a long cycle and a local beer. The team were very friendly and accommodating. I booked a room and it was very comfortable. A lovely spot.

Lovely refurbished pub(from ruins) Blood sweat and tears, I'm sure.Friendly new owners.Reopened in April 23.Rib eye steak cooked perfectly. Reasonably priced.Amenities clean and tidyPool and children's playground.Bonus Camping for a small fee.

The new owners have really done a fantastic job on restoring this outback pub. Very friendly welcome, great food and camping. Camped out back for $10 unpowered, facilities new and very clean. Definitely a must drop in place, just north of Cloncurry.
