Hotel overlooking one of the many lakes in Tasmania's heartland. Well visited by locals & tourists alike. Accomodation & hospitality was warm & welcoming. Breakfast items included in the room. Best to book in advance at the popular restaurant. Food was tasty & generous.

Well situated accommodation for discovering the lakes area. We stayed in a cabin which was very comfortable. We ate both nights at the hotel and the meals were well priced and tasty.

We arrived after 2pm being delayed by roadworks, when the chef was off duty, but the staff were very helpful and offered a limited menu and the manager promptly did our order herself. Real high country hospitality! The Lodge is totally different to when we last visited in 2016. Congratulations on a fabulous facility and we will be back soon.

Very good accomodation.Rooms were nicely fitted out and a very comfortable bed.Great shower. Lovely well priced food and pleasant efficient staff.

I cancelled a booking outside the 7 days period. Whilst acknowledging I was due a refund, they just didn't process it. Every conversation was like ground hog day. Still no reply or refund!

Central Highlands Lodge/Miena Hotel
We stayed 2 nights whilst visiting a friend. The owners made us fell welcomed from the minute we stepped in the door. The accommodation was excellent with fresh clean bathrooms and the best bed. The food was excellent and the atmosphere of the pub was wonderful. The locals certainly make you feel at home. Sitting near the large windows soaking up the sun late in the afternoon was warming. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon. You could even see wild deer wander across the lawn after dark. A must stay if visiting TAS.

Staff were friendly and confident, chef is doing God's work with their crunchy squid dish (salt, sesame and pepper I think it was a tonkatsu/Japanese styled dressing).Gorgeous view, well designed interior. I will go out of my way to visit again :)

We had a very comfy and warm stay, with beautiful scenery around and close by. The room is small, but had everything we needed (working kitchenette, no stove). Hosts were very friendly and the hotel pub was a convenient and nice place to enjoy dinner and a beer.

Stayed in Room 11 15th to 19th April 2023 inclusive. Beautiful room with everything you need. Dined at the Pub several times, great meals, well priced and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This place is a jewel in the crown. Had a brilliant trip and most enjoyable stay...Thoroughly recommended. Sincerely Dave

Helen and Michael set the bar high in regards to looking after guests. The staff follow their lead and are very helpful and upbeat.The accommodation and food was great. Newly renovated rooms with all the bells and whistles. A washing machine was a god send after a week on the road.We had our best meal (rainbow trout) of the trip there.Finally, we really appreciated up to date advice on the condition of tracks in the area.It made a big difference to our trip.
