Everything was great, except that the volume of the movie was too quiet. Maybe it was my seats, but something definitely felt off.

My sister had a recent horrible experience here. She is 15 years old and went to go watch the new Scream 6. Her and her friends went to get food and were told they can’t get in because they didn’t have an id (understandable) but moments before they let two 13 year olds into the same movie without it.I went in with them but had to go buy a ticket first while they got their seats. Only 5 minutes later they were being escorted out, while this little lady (the owner) was yelling at them, making harsh comments about them and their appearance. My sister was crying at this point and this made the little lady mad, so she proceeds to tell her she can’t cry, and that she is going to fine them $5000.I had to explain that I was getting my ticket but she wouldn’t let me speak and kept interrupting.Then when I requested a refund for all tickets she blatantly refused, snatched them out of my sisters hands and yelled at us to leave.Petition to fire this lady.

Great multiplex cinema. The seating is really comfortable. Almost all the screens have recliners. The one I went to had two rows of beds and the rest were all fully reclining seats. Decent selection of movie eats, and cocktails too ! .. The establishment was really clean and well maintained. The people working there really courteous and friendly. Dunno how the gold class is any different, I guess it's only for certain movies.

Events Cinema Macquarie is an outstanding movie center! The staff is friendly and helpful, the cinemas are clean and comfortable, and the sound and picture quality is top-notch. I highly recommend this cinema for an enjoyable movie experience.

Event Cinemas Macquarie
Went to see Spider-Man on 14/06/2023 in the evening in cinema 6. It was dope, the screen was visibly dirty, there was a retainer left behind in front of our seats and there were rats chillin’ in the theatre, scurrying around the aisles during the movie. It really made us feel at home.I really hope they leave the theatre as is because it was definitely a memorable experience.

Good place for the kids to have fun. But the hygiene condition was outrageous. Food scraps, dirt, and liquid marks everywhere. Moldy carpet and hanging wires make people want to get out.sensitiser was out of order. No wonder we were the only ones there. Hope they can improve the cleanliness

Movie was great, comfortable theatre and environment was nice. However staff in gold class… absolutely atrocious. My partner and I ordered drinks to come throughout the movie. Before we entered we ordered a drink before entering the cinema. As we sit at the table we overhear the obnoxious staff members behind the bar making our drinks loudly announcing how they’re going to make our drink horrible and how we made a horrible choice picking our drinks. Highly unprofessional announcing how you’re going to deliberately make a paying customers drink horrible. We immediately walked up to the “bar tenders “ … untrained teenagers with alcohol licences that shouldn’t be serving drinks. And called them out on their unprofessionalism and all we received were snarky comments.Overall environment is nice but don’t go here expecting your overpriced drinks to meet bar expectations as is it a cinema run by teenagers.

However, the situation was promptly resolved thanks to the exceptional assistance of Michael, a staff member at Event Cinemas. He handled the matter with professionalism and efficiency, even managing to calm down my wife who was initially quite worked up. Michael's handling of the situation was commendable and contributed to a positive experience.

Absolutely terrible experience. Today I went to watch operation fortune in Gold class. Everything was going smooth until the manager comes in to the movie theatre and starts harassing my 11 year old cousin verbally. Saying we were not allowed in Gold class since we were not 18. We followed her instructions and left the theatre, although she wouldn’t stop harassing us. There’s a way to handle things, but this was not it. Embarrassing us in front of a whole cinema. We had to keep pushing to get a refund as she was resisting to give us one. Don’t recommend, horrible manager
