Butlers Falls Reserve
Great place for a picnic or a quick brrrraaaap on the jetski. Shoal in the river bed. Has a fast flow in places. River is very shallow in places. Can be a good place for some lure casting. Just gotta be there at the right time of the day. Usually not crowded on weekends and not crowded on weekdays at all. Clear water and most of the time, you can see the fish.

Brought my family here for a picnic and a bit of fishing. It is a great place to relax and top views. It all went down hill when my 4 year old found a syringe with a needle attached. Scared the hell out of us.

Great swimming spot on the Macquarie River. Easy access for vehicles, toilet block close to the water, I like it and so does doggo.Watch little kiddos and weak swimmers in the water as the current out the back gets fast and deep.

great spot for a fish. have caught many a cod in this part of the river. grab some cheese for bait and you are sorted! just make sure you bring some insect repellent!

This reserve is a great spot to put in a kayak or go fishing. Reasonably shallow water so i dont know how a boat would fare

Good spot to get away from everyday life and have a fish. Too bad some people can't clean up after themselves, otherwise recommend for some quiet time.

First time there , found while on a bike ride . Elevated river levels because of recent rain and releases from Burrungdong Dam . Looks like nice place in normal conditions .

Butlers Falls Reserve
Needs to be brought up to date with picnic area and tables & chairs. I am not sure if the area gets flooded and I understand that some bad activity may take place there. CCTV is used in the area to reduce this.

Great place for a spot of fishing. Has a boat ramp for smaller vessels with swallow water for 50 metres after that plenty of deeper water for the elusive Murray Cod. 2 per day between 55cm to 75cm NSW fisheries rules.
